Then HE used this 40 times....
And gave me this....
Because we just got a new one of these (not for my birthday, actually for Bossman)......
We had to pick it up from the mechanic...
In the evening, I THOUGHT just the kids and Bossman and I were going to dinner....
Little did I know, my whole family was waiting at the restaurant for us!

My sister, very thoughtfully gave me these.....
The candle is battery operated so that my arthritic 40 year old hands don't have to use matches. (Isn't she thoughtful?)
And this.....
Well, if you look closely you'll see, it's an old lady cane. Complete with dirty old man repellent and a horn and rear view mirror.
As you can tell, I had the BEST birthday EVER! This is the first time I've ever had a surprise party! And I was surprised. We had a lot of fun and of course, I had to endure the singing while the whole restaurant looked on. My kids thought that was too funny! Anything that embarrasses mom is very amusing to them. I was glad to amuse!
Bossman did an amazing job planning my birthday. And did I mention he got my diamond earrings?
Oh yeah baby...it was a GREAT birthday!

Now I think I'll go eat some CAKE.......

The earrings are the BEST. The car wasn't a birthday gift, it was actually just for Bossman. We are giving the wildchild his old car for a graduation gift, so he needed a new car.

ReplyDeleteI never wanted to be sung to at a resturant. But this last birthday I got the old tune 3 times. The older you get the harder it is to embarass you. I got to tell you, that is the greatest part.
I am so happy you had a wonderful day. Enjoy your 40's they only last 10 years, and they are fabulous.
