GAH!

March 12th, Bossman and I celebrated our 23 wedding anniversary.  Over the weekend, we went to Monterey Ca.  It's beautiful up there.  We took the 17 mile scenic drive and stopped at Pebble Beach golf course.  WOW!  It's amazing there.

We didn't only go up there for our anniversary.  In the same area is an academy.  It's a high school academy.  We are thinking of sending our little man there for high school.  You might have guessed this, but it's a boarding school.  It is 3 hours away from us.

So, yeah....thinking of sending my little man to boarding school.  YIKES!!!!  I never thought I would be saying something like that.  BUT....this school has so much to offer.  BUT...I wouldn't see my baby every day.  BUT...it's such an awesome campus and school.  BUT....it's my BABY!!!!!

You guys!  What am I thinking?

GAH!

I had other things to write....but I'm too busy thinking about sending my son to school that I forgot what else I was going to write about.

I guess I'll have to remember and write about it later....

GAH!

  1. Happy Anniversary. A great place to celebrate anniversaries. My husband and I have celebrated several in that area of the country. It is one of my husband's favorite placed. We have so many great memories of the Monterey Peninsula.

Babies leaving home. Hard to think about but at least he won't be that far away. How does he feel about this? If he's good with it, it should make it easier on you (maybe).

  2. I'm the wrong one to ask- I'm famous for wanting my children with me at all times..lol. When they reach that age, no way to boarding school. It's all too short a time with them as it is!

We couldn't afford the therapy I'd need! ;)

  3. Grace,
I know this will be a hard decision not matter which way you go. But I will say that just because your baby is living away from home - nothing changes, they are still your baby and sometimes you become even more important to them. I'd tend to go with what the kid wants. Go with that for the freshman year and then you can all reassess.

    Love you sister!

  4. Grace,

How wonderful that you can provide this opportunity for your little man.
If He wants this then I agree with PK let him try it for a year. Your not sending him away to Boarding school, you are giving him the chance to succeed! Is he the type of child to take advantage of whats offered? Or would he not get anything more out of it than a regular high school? Your a good Mom Grace, putting your child's needs first!

  5. What to say, what to say ...

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it really is a fabulous place. Whether it's right for him or not, I couldn't say, but he'll tell you. You'll know if he's unhappy.

    Hugs,
