It feels so wrong, so very wrong.
Then if feels...........so very very right.
It feels wicked and ugly.
Then if feels good and beautiful.
The thought of it makes my heart beat faster.
I can feel my blood pulsating through my body.
My thoughts collide,
Spinning and rushing and slamming into each other in my head.
My heart pounds out of control, ready to burst from my chest.
This is so wrong.
This is so right.
How can I want it so much, yet feel so much shame?
My body betrays me.
It wants it.
It needs it.
My body knows what my head won't accept.
My body grows weak with need.
Wet with desire.
Hot with shame.
My heart screams for someone to understand.
And then.........there is you.
You know.
How can you know....when I don't know?
But you know.
You know my soul like nobody else.
You are my soul.
You make it ok.
You push past my insecurities.
You make it right, when the whole world screams...it's wrong.
I love you.
I love this "thing we do"
No, I hate it.
But I love it.
It is right.
It is wrong.
It just is.
Ditto what Patrick said. Beautiful, Grace.

Grace, it just is, beautiful, scary. wonderful, frightening, empowering. All this and more, those of us who do this thing know what you mean, exactly.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Paul.
Hey girl!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Now this is a poem that I understand with my whole being! You do have a real way with words. Could you do public service announcements?
It's good to be home! Talk to you later.
