blah

I'm in a blogging funk. I don't have anything funny or witty to say. I don't have anything important to say in comments. I'm in "blah" land.

Life itself is fine. Everyone is fine. The little man is back to football. The wildchild is busy, busy, busy, being a senior and taking extra night classes to make up for classes previously failed. Bossman is busy at work and I, well, I am busy being babysitter to the worlds cutest baby.

But that doesn't leave me anything to blog about. I log into blogger almost every day. I have great titles to new posts. Great titles.

I got nothing after the title.

Spanking hasn't really happened around here. Life just doesn't seem to be making it happen for us. Thats ok.

So, what to talk about.........

I could talk about the weather. The weather report yesterday said it would be cool, hot, cool, hot. What the heck kind of weather is that? Frankly, California has the most boring weather. Don't get me wrong. It's usually very nice. Matter of fact, I don't own a winter coat. My winter coat is a flannel jacket. Mittens? What are those? Boots? Nah, I'll just wear my tennis shoes, thank you.

Actually, if it starts raining in California, it's a massive news story....

Welcome to the 6'00 news and Storm Watch 08'. Today it was raining all the along the coast. Lets join Sonya on location, Sonya?

Thanks Drew! I'm Sonya Summerview and I am out in the rain. Well, it isn't raining at this exact moment, but it could actually start raining again any second.

That's right, it actually got the roads wet today. If we pan the camera down, we will see the first puddle of Storm Watch 08'. Wow, can you believe the size of the puddle? It's at least 5 inches in diameter. People have been coming from miles away to see the first puddle of Storm Watch 08'. If the "rain" keeps up, this puddle could multiply. We could see puddles of this magnitude all over the region.

blah blah blah....That's the weather in California. B-o-r-i-n-g!

I miss having seasons. I miss the cold weather. Do you know that 2 christmases ago it was 80 degrees on Christmas eve? I was baking christmas cookies in a tank top and shorts. There is no such thing as packing away your summer clothes for the winter.
I know I shouldn't complain. In the summer it's 75 and in the winter it's 70.

See, told you I had nothing to write about.

Told you!

  1. You're doing better than me, at least you're coming up with titles. I'm so talked out by the end of the day I can't write. How tragic is that? I have things I want to write about, but the words stop before they hit my fingers.

And that is the extent of my words for right now. Long day... beautiful weather (altho in Oregon puddles aren't as news worthy as the sun can be)... I taught a class, talked too much and need to find dinner. Then tomorrow, I get up and do it all again.

    ciao bella~

  2. Glad your back and your life is just moving along! You had enough excitement this summer to last at least a few (ok, MANY months!). Plus you had the excitement last winter. Nope. don'tneed that type of excitement at all! I loved the wx report! My dad spent time in california for about 1 year. he was happy to be back to Illinois as he really really missed the season changes. He was in San Diego. Said it was wonderful weather, but with it all the time he didn't enjoy it as much. I guess bad weather makes you enjoy good weather better. I would miss it terribly as I am a huge weather junkie! :-) I'm bored if it doesn't rain for about 10 days!

    Hugs!

  3. Grace, at least it's good to know that you are still out there.
I could email our weather forecast, we don't have a climate, we don't have weather, we have samples!!!
It might be raining in my little town, 10 minutes down the road the sun will be shining.
Good to hear from you, don't be a stranger.
    Warm hugs,
    Paul.

  4. heheheh...*laughs at the 5 inch puddle*

It's similar up here in NorCal, even though we do get cold and rain. Once every couple of years, even some light snowfall! But every year the first big rainstorm hits and omg it's the Apocalypse! "A tree branch fell! More news at 7!!"

As for writing; I like reading you, feel free to blog about anything you like. I don't come here for the spanking stuff; I just like you. You are interesting, Grace; so there. ;-P

  6. I thought you said you had nothing to write about. I loved that! We get a bit more winter here than you, but not much. We have also had 80 degree Christmas'. We have been in the 40's one day, and the 80's the next. I miss a change in the seasons also. Our isn't real dramatic, except in the summer when it is 107! Michael adores CA weather.

We are still waiting for you to post that grocery list!

    Huggs
