one lump or two?

I had a whole post just waiting to be finished. In it, I tell the tale of what a wonderful Christmas we had. I also include some rather annoying moments that we had with the mus*lim.

Yes, this Christmas had it all. Presents, family, and even a mus*lim. Bossman and I were accused of being liars and my daughters aunt called her and asked her to go drinking with her....yes, my 19 year old daughter. No, thank goodness she didn't go. Anyway... All in all, a very nice time.

I wanted to finish it and get it posted today. But, I can't. My mind is on something else.

My mind is on my boob. I found a lump. It's right where a woman just doesn't really want to find lumps.

One of the girls has a lump.

I was hoping it was in my imagination and I really didn't feel it. I was hoping, by the time I got to the doc, it would be gone.

Nope.

Still there.

Monday I'll go for a mammo and ultrasound.

Monday....it's a long time from now.

But I can't do anything now.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried.

I've done all the right things. I breastfed my son for over a year...

I have no family history.

So, it's a cyst. Right?

Please....just tell me it's a cyst....

And if your my friend on Facebook...please don't mention it there....I haven't told my family yet (besides Bossman) we'll just wait until they tell me it's a cyst...then we can tell the family...

  1. Sweetie, I will so definitely be praying for you. And I've been there. I found a lump a couple of years ago and was scared to death. I got it checked out and it turned out to be just a cyst. Please keep us posted!

    Hugs!

  3. Grace,

I just went throught this and it was very unnnerving. Please just go one step at a time. Do not cross over gates before your time. It is far to likely that we bury ourselves emotionally before we hold out our hands for the "Get out of Jail Free Card". I just found one and got my card literally days ago. Just know that when you become relieved, you offer up a true commitment of gratitude. Mine - smoking. Yours may be to take up a healthy habit or give over an unhealthy one. Use this "scared straight moment" to grow into the health you deserve.

    Hugs, KayLynn

  4. It's no use telling you not to worry because you can't help it, we always think the worse.

Were all right there will you Grace.

    Big hugs.

  7. Why does everything that we need to have checked within moments of finding out about it happen on a weekend?

I hope your doctor has a big waiting room. Because I'll be there with you and I imagine everyone else that reads here is going to be there too. If you don't see us you'll be able to feel us.

Oh yeah, I just spoke with God and He'll be there too. We'll try not to scare the nurses when we all shout for joy when we hear it's a cyst.

    Love you!

    PK

  9. PK is right - these things always happen on weekends, especially three-day ones.

Fingers are crossed for you that it's just a cyst or something else quite harmless. And good for you for doing something about it right away. No use trying to ignore it.

I'll be thinking of you, Grace.

    Hugs,
    Hermione

  10. Everyone here seems to agree, it's a cyst, and we're all sending out our best love and prayers.

It's good you're getting it checked out so quickly. Monday will be here before you know it.

You're in my thoughts and prayers.

    *hugs*

ps~ I've had four breast lumps removed, the first two when I was 18, all were benign. What wasn't benign was how frightened I was. You really will be in my thoughts until we all hear the results.

  11. Grace, my darlin, I don't know what it is, and I don't want to guess. I can feel your fear from here. What I do KNOW, honey, is that everything is in Gods plan. He knows what is going on, and it will be alright. Nothing throws God for a loop.YOU ARE GONNA BE OK, sweetheart.

Hugs, prayers and loads of love are winging their way to you...they should be there by now, can you feel them? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  13. I will keep you in my prayers. And I am sure it is just a cyst. Whatever it is I know that you and Bossman will get through it. And by the way Kudos to you for doing a self breast exam. If nothing else comes of this all woman reading this post check your breasts, early detection of any kind of lump even cysts improves and lessens the intervention needed. Godspeed.

  14. Grace, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I would say don't worry but that is not how we women operate. We are all with you and we want you to know that.
