I guess I did get bored for a while....but I'm still hanging on to the old blog. I can't imagine just giving it up.
Over the last 9 years...things have changed. The little man, is now a young man. He was in kindergarten when I started this thing, and now he's a freshman in high school. His sister is all grown up at 22, she was only 13 when I began. She will always be the wildchild though!
Bossman and I have seen our fair share of troubles. We've gone through the death of his sister, the craziness of his mother ( we haven't spoken too since June.) and cancer. Through it all we have been each others cheerleader, lover, caretaker, and friend. And we still love each other! Isn't that amazing?
I'd just like to thank you all for reading my crazy words. Some of you are new, but others have been around a long time. I've met a couple of you in person and it was perhaps one of the most exciting experiences I've had. We were able to be ourselves in a world where most of the time we can only be our true spanko selves on a blog or in the privacy of our bedroom. I will always treasure those couple of days.
I look forward to continuing my journey on this blog. It might not be the most entertaining thing around and it may not always be pretty. But in the end it really is just...
A Day In the Life...
of me.

Congratulations on your bloggiversary Grace.
ReplyDeleteAnd now it's official too, I've been reading 9 years of "A Day in the life".
OK, I did some backreading around 2007, but I have read them all.
Glad I'm not responsible for the laundry.
Hugs,
Bas
Wow, Bas is ahead of me. I'm not sure I went back and read it all. But I've loved you since I did find you back in 2006. I agree that the meeting was an incredible time in my life. The moment I saw you I remember how beautiful you were and as we got to know both of you I saw how good you and Bossman were together. Things haven't been a storybook for you. But the kids have turned out beautifully and you are still together and working to make things any better. I'm impressed. Congratulation!
ReplyDeleteMany hugs,
PK
It is "Amazing".. Congratulations, Happy Bloggaversary, God Bless, and Happy Easter. -Belle L.

Happy Bloggaversary!! The ages of your kids really puts it in perspective, wow! *boggle*
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're blogging again, I believe you are the only one left out of the blogs I used to link to that still blogs.
So is your MIL still a Muslin (sic)? hehehe ;P Are your lives more peaceful now that she's not in your lives? (I would imagine so! lol!) ~~Amber
Dang, woman!! 9 years? Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Grace,
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as a relative newcomer, that's mighty impressive. Congratulations on nine years of blogging! As long as you want to write, I want to read.
Hugs,
Bonnie
I really enjoy reading your posts. I’m not quite caught up on all of your past posts yet; however, I am working on it. You know, you can spend a lot of late nights on such things : ) Congratulations on nine years!
ReplyDeleteCallie
Bas...I can't believe you read all my posts! You deserve a medal for that! Thank you!
ReplyDeletePK. beautiful? I hardly think so, but thank you... I think we all looked pretty great, and I still have the pic you sent me for Christmas. I look at it fondly! It really was a great time!
Belle... Thank you! I hope you've had a great Easter!
Sunny, Thank you! And you are right!
Amber...yes, the MIL is still Muslim! We had quite the blow out last summer and so we don't speak to her anymore. We see the FIL at church, but we've told him that we don't want to talk about her, so we don't. We also have ver generic convoy with him because we don't want him to go home and report to her....sigh...it's sad, but it's just so peaceful not having to deal with her. And thanks....for still hanging around!
Eva...yep 9 years! Can you even imagine? Its been fun!
Bonnie...Thank you for stopping by!
Callie...wow, I'm always impressed when someone spreads time reading the archives...and I've been know to do that myself...late night blog reading! Thank you!
HUGS!
