I'm FULL!

Thanksgiving was a quiet affair at the grace house. This was the first year that we had no family over. It was a little weird and I thought the kids would be disappointed.

Turns out, I was WRONG! We had a wonderful time.

We started the day with the parade. No Thanksgiving was complete without the Macy's day parade. I put the turkey in the oven and then fixed yummy cinnamon rolls and eggs for breakfast. (you know the pillsbury cinnamon rolls that come in the tube? That's a tradition in our house for all holidays)

About noon, the wildchild and I started cooking the rest of the meal. I fixed the stuffing. The wildchild? She fixed the mashed potatoes and the yams (with marshmallows) and the green bean casserole. We also had cranberries and rolls. It was great! The wildchild listened to music and dances around the kitchen. We kept peeking out at Bossman to see if he would notice if we did a crazy dance, and kept laughing when he didn't. There was lots of joking and laughing and it was just such fun.

So, ever head of "black" Friday? You know those crazy people you see on the news that are up at o'dark hundred so they can do some shopping?

Bossman and I decided to be one of the crazys.

We got the paper the day before, we studied all the ads. We wrote down what we wanted from each store. We decided which store we would go to first.

This morning, we got up and 4:30, so we could go to wally-world first. They were going to open at 5. We had our list, we checked it twice and out the door we went.

I was surprised at the amount of people that were out driving around at such an early hour but NOTHING and I mean, NOTHING compared to how many people were waiting in line at wallyworld. Oh MY! The line was at least a half-mile long. There were police trying to control the crowd. It was about 10 to 5. I couldn't believe my eyes.

We decided that NOTHING was THAT important. We decided that since we were up, why not head to Target and see what sort of line they had. They were not suppose to open until 6, so we were hoping it wouldn't be too bad. Target had the stuff I REALLY wanted at REALLY good prices.

We got to the big red store at about 5:15. The line was not too bad. It hadn't yet snaked around to the back of the store, as a matter of fact, it hadn't even reached the garden department yet, so we figured it wouldn't be too bad. We got in line and everyone around us was laughing and joking and such. We discussed how crazy the wal-mart people were for waiting in such a horrid line. It was still dark outside, but everyone was quite friendly and happy.

About 15 minutes before the store opened, they had some workers come out and give us a map showing the floor plan of the store and wear the most hottest items in the ad would be located in the store. This was incredibly helpful as some of the stuff I was looking for was located in the middle of the clothes departments on pallets.

Bossman and I split up our list. He took the toys, I took the other stuff. At 6am on the dot, the doors opened and the line moved right into the store. We each got our stuff and met up in like 10 minutes. We happened to be close to the pharmacy department and low and behold, there were cashiers there. Nobody knew they were there, so we checked out all our stuff and were in our car by 6:15. Can you believe it? It was fantastic and we got everything on our list! I was so happy!

We then hit Kmart, and although it was crowded, it wasn't bad and again we got everything we wanted and were out the door within 30 minutes.

By this time we are hungry. We hit a fast food place, which was empty and got some food and used the restroom. Then we decided, what the heck, lets see what walmart looks like now.

We drive through the parking lot and notice that the door where they were first letting people in, still had a huge line. We decided that we weren't going to wait to get into that store, but as we got to the other side of the store we noticed that the garden section door was letting people in and there was no line, people were just walking right in. Huh? Why was there a long line on the other side? Who knows what people were thinking. In any case, we decided to chance it and go in. GAH! Everyone in our entire town was in Wallyworld. They had to be. I mean, I've NEVER seen such chaos. We headed back to the photo department as I really, really wanted to get a couple of people some digital photo frames. You know, the kind where you and put in a memory card and then the frames shows a slide show of all your pictures? They were on sale for only 39 dollars and I really wanted them. I was so happy to see they had a whole pallet full of them.

See, I didn't think we'd be going to walmart, so I just bought ONE of those frames at Target, but it was 59 and it was smaller. So, guess who's going back to Target sometime soon to return the frame?

Anyway, besides having everyone in the entire world in walmart, we had to wait for 45 minutes in line. That was, by far, the worst part of the morning. But, I got my frames and a couple of other goodies and I was happy.

We were home by 8:45 and I was ready for a nap by 9. I would say that all in all, I had a pretty successful day!

So how was your Thanksgiving and were you crazy like me and braved the stores OR did you opt to sleep in?

Either way, I hope your holiday was GREAT!

Happy 40th Birthday Bossman!

grace

just born with it

When I look back at my life, I am quite certain that I have had spanking tenancies from a very early age.

I loved playing games that involved someone being in charge. That included playing house, with me being the child, playing school, with me being a student, or doctor, with me being the patient. Notice, I was never the one in charge.

As a child, I had no idea that this was anything sexual. All I knew was playing the student and having to stand in the corner was the best part of the game. Funny, when I look back, my parents made me stand in the corner at home, but that was never a punishment at school. I think I got that from "Little House on the Prairie." Remember how Willy was always standing in the corner? That must be why I loved that show so much!

As I got older, and my step-father got meaner, spankings made an introduction in my house. My step-father spanked me up until the 8th grade. If you ask me, that is way too old to be spanking a child. But it happened. Weird part is, that was NOT something I enjoyed. Nothing about it was fun. And it didn't lead me to nice tingly feelings later...if you get my drift.

So, where did it come from? Where did this submissiveness come from? My mother was certainly NOT submissive. She is amazing and independant and I can't imagine her ever being submissive to anyone. She was quite the woman's libber...ready to take on the world and all that stuff.

So, looking back, I can't find a single thing that leads me to where I am now. I just know that it has always been there.

Of course, I had to find it. As I got to be a teen, my thoughts of punishment, (not parental, just general) did give me the tingly feeling, which in turn, led to sexual exploration of the masturbation kind. Of course then it was just wrong and dirty and all those other things.

I admit, one of my teenage fantasies was being kidnapped with a hunky strong man. See, we would both be kidnapped at the same time, but the hunky strong man would try and protect me. I would take a story like that and make up all sorts of scenarios. (nice way to occupy your mind while delivering newspapers.) Of course the end result was always that the hunky guy would fall in love with me and once we were rescued we would be together forever. No, I never had spanking in these daydreams, I don't think I had evolved to that point yet. But, I was always helpless. I was always submissive! Always.

So, I was born submissive.

Unfortunately I was not so quick in figuring it all out. As I eluded to, I did have thoughts of punishments as a teen and I realized that those thoughts would give me the tingles. Although, it wasn't spanking that I thought of. It was standing in the corner, being tied up, being held hostage, being forced into doing things non-sexual. It wasn't until the internet and years of reading BDSM stuff that I realized that the spanking stories were the ones that pushed all my buttons. Not the master/slave ones, not the extreme pain and torture ones, it was the spanking and punishment ones. Standing in the corner, mouth washings, spanking, even things as silly as writing lines, those are the things that give me that tingle.

The movie "Pretty Woman" has been brought up on a couple of blogs that I read and somehow these thoughts just came out of my fingers as I was typing a post about the movie. What do all these ramblings have to do with Pretty Woman? Pretty Woman is the movie where I realized I want my man to be like THAT! I want him to take charge when people are mean to me. I want him to tell me to stop fidgeting. I want him to slug a guy that tries funny business with me.

And when I want to leave, I want him to come and ask in that aching voice, "Please stay."

And when all else fails, I want him to show up on his white horse (or white limo) and I want him to save me.

Although I didn't know it at the time, I married a man like that. He takes charge, he sticks up for me, he would slug someone if they tried anything with me. He has asked in that aching voice "come back." And more than once, he has showed up with his white horse and saved me.

If only there had been a spanking scene in "Pretty Woman"......

Women...do you think you were born with the submissive trait? I feel like maybe all women are born with it, it's just some of us suppress it. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe we are not all born that way....but I do know one thing....

I was!

She lives!

Ok, I survived the plague of '08. It wasn't pretty. I don't like worshiping the porcelain god. It's just gross. And....when it comes out of both ends at the same time, well, not only is it gross...it's GROSS!

I know, TMI! I'll stop now.

Thanks so much for all the kind comments. It's nice to open your email and see all the love. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Things with Bossman and I are on the mend. We had a talk the other night and it didn't go well. I felt like we weren't understanding each other. Everything I said was wrong. Everything he said was wrong too. It pretty much ended in tears.

I read all your comments and I agree that communication is always the key. But when communication breaks down, I just don't know what happens next. I feel like he's being over-nice to me just so we can make up. I guess that's a good thing. But sometimes it feels fake. I don't like fake.

But sickness makes us vulnerable. In being vulnerable, I let go of whatever it was that was holding me back. I needed him to take care of me and he needed to take care of me and in the end, it brought us closer together. I missed cuddling, I missed listening to his heart beat. I missed us.

So yeah, things are getting better.

I asked him last night what was going to help us get back into fully being ourselves and he said, "a spanking."

Yeah, I think that just might help.

it was inevitable

Sure enough, the wildchild and I are both down for the count. We've been up all night! The stomach pains and the throwing up with nothing in your stomach have been the worst.

So, D won't be coming for Thanksgiving. Although I'm sad about it, it is also a relieve, as I don't know how I'm going to manage to get everything done now that I'm sick. Hopefully we will all be better by turkey day.

The little man is getting better. He didn't eat much yesterday, but today he's eating more, so that's a good sign.

So, anyway, don't stop by my house.....we've got the plague!

I'll be back when it's over, until then, have a good weekend!

from the frying pan to the fire

I haven't had time to read my comments from the last post. If I know you guys, and I know you as well as anyone could from comments and such, then I know you have all be extremely supportive. I will take the time to read them all and give them thought as soon as I'm done telling you about my day.

About 2 hours after posting my last post, the little man came down with the stomach flu. 2 hours after posting my last post, it was 12:30am.

My poor little man vomited the w.h.o.l.e night. Every hour on the hour. About 4 in the morning it started coming out of both ends. Needless to say, I think I got roughly 30minutes of sleep last night.

At 8:00 this morning (the exact time the doc's office opens) I was on the phone getting him an appointment. They got us in at 9. When I say "got us in"...well that's pretty much all that happened for the next hour and a half. We got a room and then we sat and sat and sat. The poor little man had to make numerous trips to the bathroom to vomit and...well you know, let it out the other end.

During one of his trips to the bathroom, the doc came in....this after an hour. Before we get all mean and mad at the doc, I'll come to his defense. There was a very sick baby in the office and this doc was the only one in today, so they go backed up at LEAST 45 mins.

Anyway, during one of the little mans trips to the bathroom, the doc came in. Seeing that the little man was in the bathroom, he LEFT! And we had to wait another 20 min.

Let me just remind you, in case you forgot, our appointment was at 9, we were finally seen at 10:15.

After examining the poor little man, the doc wants to be sure it isn't his appendix. After making him pee in a cup, the doc decides he wants a blood test, just to be sure.

Unfortunately, we have to go to the hospital for the blood test because they can send the results quickly...just in case it's the appendix.

By this time, it's around 11. I take him to the hospital and after filling out gobs of paperwork we finally get to the lab. The lady tries to draw his blood and can't find the vein. GREAT! She's got the needle in his arm and she's poking around trying to find the VEIN! (STUPID WOMAN....I just had to get that off my chest) So, she has to try the other arm.

But guess what, the poor little man has to vomit again. LUCKILY for the STUPID WOMAN...there was a bathroom near by and there was no vomit mess to clean up...although she would have deserved it! (OK, I sorry, I'm being mean, but I'm very very tired and WHO pokes around a 10 year olds arm?)

Finally she gets the blood and we leave. By this time, we are both exhausted although I'm sure the little man was more than me.

I forgot to mention, they couldn't give him anything for the vomiting until after the blood test, so we had to go BACK to the docs office, wait some more and then he got a shot in his butt. (not nearly as fun as it sounds!)

By the time this is all done, it's 12:15. I should mention that the docs office is about 25 minutes from my house, so we got home around 12:45.

The good news, it's not the appendix. Thank goodness! The other good news, the vomiting has ceased since around 1 this afternoon. It's 6 now. And the little man? He's been sleeping all day. Wish I was!

Instead, I spent the rest of my day cleaning the house, doing laundry, cleaning a very dirty bathroom and going to the store to get things like bananas, rice, apple sauce and toast. (the B.R.A.T diet) Don't worry, I also bought him jello and gatorade. The little man is very happy and he's held down his apple sauce, so far, so things are looking up.

Now, keep your fingers crossed that I don't get it. Or the wildchild. Or Bossman.

If any of us get it, D may not be able to come for Thanksgiving. She can't be around sick people. Chemo lowers your immune system. Doc tells me that you are contagious 4 days after you get the first symptoms.

As for things with me and Bossman....still not good. But I'm sure it will get better....

RIGHT?

*please excuse any typos or ramblings. The writer is sleep deprived and still has loads and loads of laundry to do. It would not be wise to remind the writer about her earlier laundry post as her current state of mind does not wish to think good thoughts about laundry and reminding her of such will only worsen her mood.
Thank you for your patience regarding this matter.*

worlds apart

Bossman and I have been disconnected. This is something that I'm sure most of you go through at one time or another. It's not that I have lost my libido. It's just that we've been fighting over things and well, things came to a head the other night.

It was one of those nights when nothing that was said was going to be said right. Nothing was going to make either of us happy. I finally lost my temper and in a fit of rage, left the house.

Unfortunately, the little man was in the room.

There goes my mother of the year award.

Bossman and I never fight like this. In the 19 years that we've been married, I can count on one hand the amount of times we've gone through something like this.

Anyway, I left. Don't worry, I didn't leave for good. As a matter of fact, as I drove away, I realized I had no where to go. Ok, I had places I could have gone, but I was ashamed and embarrassed. I wasn't about to tell my friends or family about this. Bossman and I are the most stable people in our family and I would never admit that we were having trouble. More importantly, the fight was really stupid. I mean, if it was a good fight, you know, something juicy or worthwhile, well, it wouldn't have been so bad. But seriously, it was just a stupid fight that escalated out of control. It's one of those things, where you look back and say, "what the hell just happened?".

So, where did I go? First I drove around and cried. I don't really recommend that. It's hard to see through the tears. I ended up close to walmart, so I parked in the parking lot, and just sat there. I couldn't really think, so I just sat there and felt sorry for myself. Then after a while I got bored. So I went into the store and picked up a couple of things that I needed. Might as well not waste a trip out, right?

The point of this post is here somewhere, I just can't seem to get there. What I'd really like to know is....

How do you reconnect after a huge fight like this? This fight happened over a week ago and although we've made up, we just aren't the same. Everything is out of sync. He keeps saying we need to reconnect and I am just not able, or willing or...well, I don't know what I am. I want to, but how? What's the answer? It's not that I'm still angry about the fight. But, I feel like things are different. Unsettled.

And then....the other day, Bossman went out and spent a ton of money on something KNOWING I wouldn't be happy about it.

Ok, we did discuss it, but he didn't say it was going to be THAT much....and...
When I asked him what he was thinking when he bought it, he said he was thinking about how mad I would be. So I ask myself, why would someone do that? Why would you buy something when you KNOW it's going to cause problems?

I am not mad about that anymore either. We did discuss it and he is going to make up the money by selling other stuff, so it's ok now, but still....

I don't know, I think I'm being selfish, but sometimes I think it's always about him and it's never about me.

But, if I think about the sex part of our life, it seems like it's all about me and not so much about him.

And right now...at this very moment...we are both in the same room, but we are worlds apart from each other.

How do we get back to the same world?

What if we don't?

Oh my!

Saw this on a truck today. How funny is THAT???

laundry revisited

Thank you all for stopping by and commenting on LOL day! I do love my lurkers and even if you didn't comment, I still love ya!

One of my new friends, goodgirl asked about my tagline "where laundry and lust collide". The wonderful Ceeci thought of that line and it fits me perfect!

Back in 2006, I wrote a post on laundry. The post before was boring and I jokingly said my next post would be about laundry. Low and behold, people wanted to hear about my laundry. I was going to write a funny post about laundry but next thing you know, it turned serious.

So, because you asked and because I don't have anything interesting to write about, I have decided to repost my laundry post.

And, speaking of laundry....I better get mine done....

First posted on October 5th, 2006

I was only joking when I said I would do my next post on laundry. Apparently, you all are fascinated by laundry. Therefore I feel it is my duty and honor to write a post about laundry.

First of all, what is it about dirty laundry? It's obviously dirty. It smells bad. There are stains. Dirty laundry can tell you a lot about a person. First of all, you can usually tell if it's a male or female. You can tell if it's a baby, child or adult. You can probably even tell if it's a teenager. If you dig further, you find out, what kind of perfume they wear, what kind of deodorant they wear, what they had for lunch or dinner.

If you look at my sons laundry, you would find lots of grass stains, every pair of jeans with a holes in the knees, lots of paint and marker stains, and always, always, always, you will find food stains. You will easily be able to tell what he had for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You most certainly will be able to tell that he plays sports. As with most little boys, you will smell that dirty dog smell that he so sweetly smells like after a hard day of play. Mixed in the laundry basket, you will find, army guys, hot wheels, Star Wars figures, and plastic toy guns. This is my son.

My daughters laundry is a whole different story. My daughter chooses to wear thongs. There has been great controversy over whether a good parent would allow their precious teen wear such a sexy piece of clothing. My short thought on that is...I can't stop her. She buys her own underwear, and she would wear them whether I said yes or no. She started wearing them before I even knew she wore them. Her friends would buy them for her. Since I'm pretty positive she isn't sexually active, I am not to concerned about the thongs. So, in her laundry, you would find thongs, you would find the hormonal smell of teen female. You'll find miniskirts and pink striped socks. You would also find secret notes from her friends. Notes about the worst teacher in the school, the cutest boy in P.E. class and (unfortunately) which girl in school is pregnant. Her laundry tells the story of her life. It's chaotic and grown-up, and it's little girly and sweet. It tells the story of a girl child trying to become a woman. This is my daughter.

Bossman has boring laundry. It's smells extremely manly. It has the occasional crumpled dollar bill, or a few stray coins. You might think the man was having an affair because you could easily find scraps of paper with a woman's name and phone number. Lucky for me, I KNOW better. These scraps of paper do give you a glimpse into his "other" life. Names and numbers of people that he talks to and comes in contact when I'm not around. This is my Bossman.

So, what does my laundry say about me? What would a person find out about me if they went through my dirty laundry? Would they notice my tigger tee-shirt with the holes in it that I got when I was pregnant with my son and I still love to sleep in? Would you notice the food stains that I always spill down the front of my shirt? What about the receipts that I always leave in my pockets? If you read those you would know what stuff I buy at the store. Like the tampons and the kitty litter. Would you notice that there is only one bra? Would you notice that I wear jean and tee shirts? Would you smell my favorite perfume, "sweet honesty"? This is me.

Laundry, like life, gets dirty. There are plenty of times when my life smells. Sometimes the smell is yucky, sometimes it's sweet perfume. Life also gets stained. Births and deaths, stain our lives in permanent ways. Ways that won't come out in the wash. Heartbreak and happiness, fade in and out of our lives just like the stains that we get out with a little "spray and wash".

If you took a look at my laundry 6 months or 6 years ago, you would have found something different than today. Laundry, like life, changes over time. Soon my daughter will have grown up laundry. Maybe she'll have the newlywed laundry. The kind with lots of sheets and towels. Maybe she'll have the laundry of a tired new mom with baby spit up on every one of her shoulders. Soon my sons clothes will get bigger. Someday he will have teen boy clothes. Maybe instead of grass stains, I'll find notes from girls. Maybe he'll leave his student id in his pocket. Maybe I'll still find some football sweaty clothes. Maybe instead of the dirty dog smell, I'll smell the hint of cologne. Maybe...

What will the laundry from Bossman and I look like in the future? I don't know. I hope it will have stains from graduation cake, stains from the wine at the wedding toast, and new grandbaby spit up stains. I hope it will still smell like sex and old spice, and sweet honesty. And maybe, if you look closely at the bottom of the basket, you might just find, mixed in with the clothes and socks and underwear...

The backscratcher that I once again hid from Bossman!

Hello out there!!!!!

Today is "Love our lurkers" day!

Now....what exactly is a lurker???

The dictionary defines it as such:

lurk
   –verb (used without object)
1. to lie or wait in concealment, as a person in ambush; remain in or around a place secretly or furtively.
2. to go furtively; slink; steal.
3. to exist unperceived or unsuspected.
4. Chiefly Computers. to read or observe an ongoing discussion without participating in it, as in an Internet newsgroup.

Now, I HOPE you aren't lying in wait to ambush me and I HOPE you aren't slinking around to steal from me.

I really HOPE you are just observing on ongoing discussion without participating!

The point of all this is to let you know that whether you participate or not, you are still important. It's easy for me to forget that there are people out there in the internet world that are reading my blog. I get less than 20 comments a post. Most times, less than 10. So, it's easy to forget there are a LOT more people out there reading. Although I don't blog for the comments...I LOVE hearing from my readers! It's so fun when someone new stops by and leaves me a little message.

So today I ask as nicely and as prettily as I can......

Please, leave me a comment! Please, drop me a line! PLEASE, with sugar on top?

You don't have to leave a name! All you have to do is say "Hi".

So please, please please, with a cherry on top......leave me a comment today!

I will love you forever!

HUGS!

the weekend

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'd show you a pic of her today, but then I'd have to kill you, and I have neither the time nor the inclination to do that. Did you know that for the past 6 years it has rained on November 8th? Last year was just a drizzle and this year was just a sprinkle, but it's it ironic that it rains in some fashion every single year!!! It didn't rain until Saturday night and when it started the wildchild was out with friends, but we called her when the rain started and she was just as thrilled as we were. It's kind of tradition for us now and we sometimes take bets on whether it will rain or not. (Just thought you'd like an insight into our weird world...LOL)

The birthday was great! The wildchild is getting a laptop from us. She tried to go out on her birthday to buy lotto tickets and the guy at the store said she had to wait until mid-night. Never hear of that before, but she went to another store and they had no problem letting her buy the tickets.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed. The MIL didn't contact the wildchild for her birthday. I know things are bad between us and we haven't actually spoken to her since graduation but still, this is her grandchild and the children have nothing to do with the problems of the adults. Not to mention, the wildchild and the MIL were VERY close while the wildchild was growing up. The wildchild used to LOVE spending time with her grandma and it's hurtful that she couldn't even contact her. The MIL has the wildchild's cell phone number, she also knows our address. Couldn't she have called or sent a birthday card or ANYTHING? As a matter of fact, we saw the FIL at church and he wished the wildchild a happy birthday. Couldn't the MIL send a card with the FIL? I think it's crappy and it just makes me realize that this woman is sick and we are right to say away from her.

~rant over~

D ended up in the hospital this weekend. As a matter of fact, she's still there. Apparently her heart rate went down to 40. As far as any one can tell, the new meds must have done it. Problem is, the meds are so new, they don't know for sure. D doesn't want to quit taking the meds, because they are the best chance of recovery, but now this is thrown in, so who knows what will happen next! It's so scary. She'll find out today what the doctors think she should do next. I just don't understand....you take meds to make you better, but they continue to make you worse....it's just not fair.

Well, that's all I've got for today. What did YOU do this weekend???

Big Day

Tomorrow is the day my daughter turns 18.

Seriously? 18?

It's true, she's 18. That means......

I did it,
I did it,
I did it!!!!! *Happy Dance*

I successfully raised a child. She's still alive, still breathing. She's healthy and happy. She may not be the president (but she could someday!) but she is still somebody. She doesn't do drugs (that I know of), she isn't pregnant (thank baby jebus)and she graduated from high school.

Ok, I suppose I should give credit where credit is due. Bossman helped! Without him, none of this would have been possible. Without him, there would be no her.

Sorry if this sounds braggy, but lets face it, raising a child is HARD work. You don't have to have any training. You don't have to pass a class or study ahead of time. You don't have to pre-qualify. You don't even have to be an adult.

You have to clean up spit-up, change poopy diapers, stay up all night. Then you have to help with homework, go to performances of beginner violinist (my ears are still ringing) and search the pumpkin patch for hours, just to find the perfect pumpkin. After that, you get to be ignored, yelled at, and used only for the money in your wallet.

Sure, sounds like fun!

But then...well something extrodinary happens. The first smile, the first hug, the first "I love you." The first homemade card from school, telling you, you are the best mother in the world. Then one day, your child looks down at you (yes, she's taller than me ) and she says "Thanks mom. I couldn't have done it without you" and you realize, it was all worth it.

So, Happy Birthday to my wildchild! Always makes me laugh, always makes me cry, always close to my heart.

Hooray!

The election is OVER! No more stupid political ads! No more political crap in my mail! No more flyers on my door trying to tell me who and what to vote for! HOORAY!

So, how was your Halloween? Mine was great! We took the little man out with some friends trick-or-treating and we had a great time. It's great fun to see the little kids out getting candy. Can you believe someone gave the boys a nickel? What the heck? I'm sorry, but really.....a nickel? My son wondered if there was any candy he could buy for a nickel. Maybe a gum drop from the candy machine, but even then I think those things are up to a quarter. Oh well, guess it's the thought that counts!

Things are going fine around here. There hasn't been any more butt itch to report, but I'm hoping there will be some in the near future. I'm thinking we should have some sort of BS burning party. A huge bonfire and we can even make s'mores. Anybody care to join me in this?

Looks like D is heading to our house for Thanksgiving! We are happy for that. It seems she is on some just-approved chemo pills. Apparently they have just been released this past summer and no one in Vegas has been on them yet, so it took about 2 weeks for the local pharmacy to get a hold of them. So far there haven't been any side-effects and they are hoping this will knock the spots off her lungs.

Nobody wants to think of the worst, but since we don't know what the next year will hold for her (or for any of us, for that matter)I'm just glad we will get to spend the holiday with her and her hubby.

Football is over. Our team made it to the playoffs (YAY team) but we lost the first round. I was sorry to see us lose, but glad that it was over. It's getting cooler and darker so it wasn't much fun for practice.

Did I mention how glad I am the election is over?

So, I leave you with my little man in his costume. He's the sumo!

*faces are blurred to protect the innocent!

I know.....

You're just dying to hear my meme on 7 things about me. I'm not tagging anyone, as a matter of fact, I've already forgotten the rules, so here are 7 things you may or may not know about me.

1. I've never met ANYONE with my first name. Most people have a hard time pronouncing my first name. I've even had someone correct me on my own first name.

2. I have a pretty good singing voice and am asked to sing in church quite often.

3. I played the cymbals in the marching band in my senior year of high school.

4. I've only met my father once (in person) since I was 5.

5. I have a half-brother that I've never met and I don't even know his name.

6. I hate feet. Sorry, they creep me out. The only exception would be baby feet..who doesn't like baby feet?

7. I went to 14 different schools growing up, 2 in Germany.

There, are you happy now?

By the way, butt itch is going away, but still lingering. Oh, and number 8? I like butt itch!

butt itch

I really depend on the internet to tell me the important things in life. I read blogs and I learn a lot, really I do.....

So how come nobody bothered to tell me about butt itch?

You know what I'm talking about...don't pretend that you don't. You know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

But just in case you are playing dumb, or have never experienced it yet, let me fill you in.

After a hard spanking, especially the next day.........

YOUR BUTT ITCHES!

Excuse me while I scratch my butt!

There hasn't been much spanking going on around my house lately. So image my surprise when Bossman takes me home after dropping the little man at football practice and decides to spank me.

Frankly, we haven't discussed it much. I've pretty much given up talking about it. I mean, comments are made about spanking all the time but there isn't any follow through. I've come to terms with the fact that I just need to be happy with what I get and not worry about it when it doesn't happen when I want it to happen. Since I can't control Bossman, it's useless to stress myself out about things that don't happen. It makes me unhappy and it makes him unhappy and then things get unhappy in the relationship.

But look who I'm telling all this to. I'm sure you have all dealt with things like this before, whether it's spanking or something else, it's hard when you want something and it doesn't happen when or how you want. It's hard to not be able to control things like that. Wouldn't it be great if we could control things like that? But that would mean we could control other people's minds.

Ever play the Sims on the computer? If we could control the minds of others, it would be a lot like the Sims and would get boring rather quickly. There would be nothing spontaneous, life would be too predictable.

Wait a second....I was going to tell you about my spanking.

We got back from the practice and the wildchild was home. Bossman and I watched the news for awhile (my ears are starting to bleed with political mumbo jumbo) and then the wildchild left for work. Bossman pulls me off the sofa and I know by the look in his eyes that he had spanking in mind.

He took me into the bedroom, pulled down my pants and....well...you KNOW what he did next....

He pulled down my panties...of course!

Ok, after he did that, he pulled me over his knee and preceded to spank me long and hard with his hand. Now his hand is normally my favorite. But it was long...and hard. Then something strange happened to me, I started laughing!

I KNOW! What is THAT about anyway? Laughing? It really wasn't a laughing matter, as a matter of fact, it was hurting like hell. I had tried to wiggle away, I tried kicking my legs, I tried begging and pleading and then, when I thought it was getting to be too much I...I....I LAUGHED??????

If there is a lesson to be learned here I learned it. Want to know what I learned?

I learned that if you laugh during a spanking, it doesn't make it stop. As a matter of fact, since I started laughing Bossman decided he needed something a tad stronger to get his point across.

If I haven't mentioned this before, let me mention this now....backscratchers are from the DEVIL!

So since I started laughing, Bossman pulled out the dreaded backscratcher. The second lesson I learned, the backscratcher doesn't make me laugh. As a matter of fact, the backscratcher will make laughing cease immediately.

I will say that Bossman outdid himself on the spanking front last night. That was one of the hardest spankings I've ever gotten. There was no getting out of it and believe me when I say, I tried all the tricks of the trade. I tried begging, I tried pleading, I tried wiggling, I tried kicking and I tried getting up numerous times. Nothing worked.

One other thing....

Am I the only one that likes to have both sides evenly smacked? I learned that I hate having one side smacked longer or harder than the other. It's just not right to give the cheeks uneven treatment. Not only that, but it drives me NUTS!

After the spanking Bossman takes all my clothes off and tells me to stand at the wall for 5 minutes. Literally 2 minutes later, he practically threw me on the bed on my stomach. For a brief moment, I thought he was going to continue spanking me, but then he pulled my butt up and I knew where this was going. I pulled my knees on to the bed, (which, in case you are wondering, makes the height for doing it doggy style perfect for us) and well, you guess it, we did it like dogs. Then he flopped me over and did it from the top. Then, well...SHEEZ people, isn't that enough information for you?

I think you can use your imagination on the rest of this......

The last lesson I learned? My husband can spank when he sets his mind to it. He can be dominate and bossy and down right sexy....and DAMN...that's just HOT!

Remember the dead guy?

Guess he wasn't dead when I saw him.

Sad. Very sad.

the long road home

*in case you haven't been keep up..this is part 5 of my Vegas story. If you'd like to read the first 4, please....scroll down.*

By this time you are probably thinking there is no way that all this stuff happened to us. Do you really think I could make all this stuff up?

After a restful (HA) 4 hours of sleep, the little angel woke up. Lucky for me, he is a happy child and he woke in a great mood. Unlucky for the little angel, Bridezilla forgot to pack diapers!

After trying to call Bridezilla and getting a voice mail, I phoned my mom. She was already up and dressed so she went downstairs to find some diapers. How does one forget to pack diapers for their baby? I may never get the answer to that question.

After the crisis was averted, I got the little angel dress and I got myself dressed. Since the rest of the occupants of my room were still snoring, I took the little angel downstairs to find juice and something to eat.

When I got back upstairs, we packed up our stuff. The little angel started getting fussy. After getting stuff packed, I took the angel to my mom's room, because she had the car seat in her room. The little angel started getting REALLY fussy. Then he started to cry. Now the plan was to meet D for breakfast as she had just gotten home from her cruise and we wanted to see her before heading home. The little angel, he wasn't happy. Nothing I did would stop him from crying. I watch him everyday and he has NEVER been this way at my house before. He could not be consoled. When they came for our baggage, he was still crying, he cried all the way through the hotel and continued to cry while we waited for the car. I was working on a little amount of sleep and I was ready to pull my hair out.

After securing the car seat in the car, we stuffed our stuff in the car and started driving. I figured he was probably tired and would fall asleep in the car. NOPE. He just cried and cried. We called D and told her that we would stop to see her, but it didn't look like we were going to be able to eat with her. I called Bridezilla and told her the problem because I wasn't sure if he was sick or what. Bridezilla called me back and said they would probably just keep him in Vegas with them.

It was too far to take him to Bridezilla first, so we just went to the restaurant to see D. When we got there, I handed the little SCREAMING angel to Bossman and started telling D about our Vegas adventure. Bossman took the little angel across the parking lot and for some reason decided to take off his shoes.....guess what? It worked! He stopped crying. I don't know if his shoes were hurting him (they didn't hurt him earlier in the morning, but maybe a sock was pinching) or maybe he was just done crying. In any case, he stopped. And we were able to go in and eat with D after all. I called Bridezilla and told her the baby was fine, but she said that the groom wanted to keep the baby after all. FINE with me. I wasn't looking forward to driving 7 hours home with him, even if he was in a good mood.

We had a nice breakfast with D and then headed to Bridezillas hotel. The groom was waiting. The little angel fell directly asleep as soon as we got in the car, so the groom carried him up to their room. Bridezilla? Well, if looks could kill, I would not be here to type this right now!

After dropping off the baby, it was time to hit the road. We were all quite grateful that this trip was finally ending......or was it?

5 minutes down the road I get a text from Bridezilla. "Good thing the wedding turned out nice because NOTHING else did!"

How does one respond to such a thing? I chose the high road. I didn't respond at all. If I tried to respond at the moment I probably would have lost my cool and frankly...I hate losing my cool.

We almost made it home without incident, but the trip wouldn't be complete if we didn't have one more thing to talk about. About 10 miles from our house, we come across a car accident that had just happened. It was in a dead zone for cell phones and when Bossman slowed down, they stopped us and asked us to call 911 at the top of the hill. A truck had gone off the road and there was a passenger trapped. It was dark, so we could see the truck at all.

We got to the top of the hill, phoned 911 and finally, finally picked up the little man and headed home.

All in all, I would say this was the most exciting trip to Vegas I've ever been on.

I'm thinking that for our anniversary, we should renew our vows in Vegas....

And let Bridezilla plan it for us!

Um, maybe not..........
