Friday fill-ins

This week has been CRAZY!

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but my son...the little man...he's the absent-minded Professor! This past week, we've had to re-do half of his school work that he either lost or didn't do. This kid is a honor-roll student and yet he was getting D's in some of his work because he LOST some of the stuff. I gave him money for a picture pack that they took at school......he lost it! I helped him with a report...he left it in his room. Two days this week I've had to drive him back to school because he forgot something he needs!

Normally, I let him suffer the consequences, but we are talking end of the year grades, so I couldn't just let this stuff go.

Needless to say, I've had to do 5th grade homework ALL week! I'm so glad it's a 3 day weekend!

Hopefully I'll have more time to write next week.....

Until then, enjoy my Friday Fill-ins and have a great weekend!

1. Moving to a new house, is in my future.

2. I like things that are free.

3. My best quality is being practical, which also drives Bossman crazy.

4. I need all the details. Otherwise I will stress over them.

5. In nearly 10 years, I'll be 50 and fabulous.

6. Motivation is what I need right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to catching up on all my shows, tomorrow my plans include spending the day with Bossman as the kids all have plans elsewhere and Sunday, I want to go look at houses! Did I mention that Bossman and I are buying our first home?

  1. As a mom I am right there with you I have stayed up night typing things, gotten off work to take projects to school that were left at home by mistake, I have gone to the store at midnight for something that they have to have tomorrow (that they knew they were going to need for 3 weeks)! It's madding, but they are our kids so we do it.

Now as a teacher I'll say relax. Let the chips fall where they may -it will teach responsibility.

But mostly I'm a mom and I know your are too. I am so excited about your house. Let us know all the details as they occur.

    Hugs,
    PK

  2. Congrats on buying your first home! I totally feel you on the homework - the last few months it seems like all I've done is 2nd grade homework! Thank God today was the last day of school!

    Hugs,

I doubt that I could do homework anymore!!!

  4. Oh Grace, how exciting for you, good luck in your search and let us please know how you get on.

I know exactly what you mean about your son, the amount of times I've had to help with his homework. He's 21 now and at Uni.

  5. Congrats and good luck on the house shopping! I remember those homework days - I had one space cadet daughter and one anal daughter. The space cadet lost or forgot everything! But, they both survived and so did I!! My baby will be 30 this year, but those days sometimes feel like yesterday. Meow

  6. Hi Grace,

This is Vivian over at The Disciplined Feminist blog.

I wanted to email you, but didn't see an email address listed, so please forgive me for posting this to comments. Didn't know how else to reach you!

I wanted to let you know that Variant Books is publishing the first-ever Disciplined Feminist spanking/DD book, called "How to Get the Spanking You Want: The Complete Guide to Asking for It, Getting It and Making It Better."

It's written for anyone who wants their partner to spank them but doesn't quite know how to ask, or anyone who's currently getting spanked but would like to make it better.

So that as many women (and men!) have access to this information as possible, I'm reaching to other women in the community to help spread the information.

You can get more info at www.HowToGetASpanking.com.

Apologies again for posting this to comments!

    Warmest,
    Viv
