The J's
But....in the midst of all this turmoil there are things to be thankful for. There are plenty of J's to be thankful for. Just thinking about being thankful makes me feel a little better about the world. For even when the world seems cruel and sad, there are things to be thankful for.
J: My son's name starts with the letter J. He's such a good boy. He's handsome and sensitive. He smells like a dirty dog when he's been playing hard. He's messy and unorganized and smart. If you walked into his classroom, you would be able to pick out his desk in an instant. It would be the one with paper on the floor, books shoved in any which way and jackets and backpacks shoved under it. He's the Peanut equivalent of Pig Pen and I love him to death. He is passionate about cats. When he has time and has someone to take him, he will go to the Humane society to pet the cats. He is caring and loving and the world is a better place with him in it. (Can you tell I love this kid???)
Jelly beans: With Easter just around the corner, you can't get away from Jelly Beans. Oh I love them. Jelly Bellys are the best.
Jesus: Well when one thinks of mortality, one tends to think of where they will end up when their time comes to leave the world. I happen to believe in Jesus. Sure, not everyone believe in Jesus. But I do. 'Nuf said.
Jokes:A blonde and a both jump off a cliff at the same time. Which one will hit the bottom first? The brunette, because the blonde has to ask for directions.
Q: What do you do if a blonde throws a grenade at you?
A: Pull the pin and throw it back.
Juice: I always start the day with Orange Juice. I love it.
Junk food: I am a junk food junkie. I love cookies, cake, chips. I'm not big on candy bars, but just about anything junk foodish is good with me.
One of the LA gang starts with J. I am very grateful for the LA gang and I really am grateful for J!
In order to keep things light and fun, I found one of my favorite songs from Sesame Street. This originally aired in 1971. Oh my. Things were a lot simpler back then.
Enjoy this J day! I'm certainly going to try!

News Flash
Continuing the celebration of the blogaversary! This was posted in September of 2006.
This is a spanking news flash!
Spankings hurt.
That's right ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first, spankings do hurt.
Studies have shown that using a paint stirrer or wooden spoon on a persons gluteus maximus in a repetitive fashion, does, in fact, cause pain.
As a matter of fact, if used too long, the pain in the derriere could last for more than 24 hours. Side effects of a spanking include, redness in the buttockal area, soreness when sitting, submissive tendencies toward the spanker, unusually high sexual arousal, strange need of another spanking. Other, but less frequent effects are extreme dislike of wooden spoons and sore stomach muscles.
Specialist in the field have recommended that if your going to receive a spanking, you should try not to receive that spanking the day before having to sit in stadium bleachers for any length of time, as this will only prolong the soreness.
A lesser known study was conducted recently on people who were spanked before a sexual act and after a sexual act. A recent researcher spanked his subject after giving his subject an unusually strong orgasm. The subject reported that the spanking was extremely hard and hurt a lot. The researcher reports that the spanking was in fact, not that hard, and the subject was just being overly sensitive. Two days later, the researcher gave his subject a spanking before engaging in any sexual conduct. The researcher discovered he could give the subject a longer and harder spanking without nearly as much response from the subject. The subject, on the other hand, reports that indeed the spanking was easier to take, but this spanking was a lot harder and caused the her buttockal region to be sore for a much longer period of time. The subject did report that the orgasm after the spanking was, in fact, phenomenal.
That is all the time we have left for this news flash, we will now return you to Spanking with the..., I mean Dancing with the Stars.....

Grateful
Gratefulness comes in many forms. You can say your grateful with a thank-you or a note.
You can show you are grateful with a smile or a hug.
Sometimes you can show you are grateful by just being there.
I know that today is the letter “i”. I am indeed grateful for things like ice cream, ideas, icicles, inspiration. But today I am grateful for life.
I am grateful that I got to spend the weekend with my SIL. We had fun. We smiled. We laughed. We hugged. We cried.
We talked about the fear of dying. We talked about how unfair life can be. We talked about our love for each other. We also talked about hope.
The doctors have said that there isn’t much hope left. I disagree. There is so much hope. I hope, Bossman hopes, my children hope. My church family hopes. My internet family hopes. People that don’t know D have hope.
There is hope everywhere we turn. So we cling to that hope. We cling to every single drop of hope.
And we pray. And pray. And pray.
So, today I am grateful for life. I’m grateful for my family and my friends and most of all…..
I’m grateful for D.
5 years ago I started this blog. I can’t believe it’s been this long. So many things have changed in my life.
My daughter was in 8th grade, now she’s a college student.
My son was in kindergarten, now he’s in 5th grade.
We had old cars that were always breaking down. Now we have two newer cars that are still under warranty.
My MIL was a Christian, now she’s a Muslim.
My Grandma passed away.
I was 35 when I started this blog and now I’m 40.
This blog has changed me. It’s helped me sort my feelings out. It’s helped me understand things I didn’t understand before. I am brave enough to say things that I wouldn’t have dared said 5 years ago.
I’ve gone back and read some of my early posts. The person that wrote those was scared and unsure of herself. She wrote a lot of downer posts in the beginning. Life seemed to be getting in the way of living. Bad cars, no money, fighting with Bossman, they all cropped up in the early years of this blog. I believe Bossman and I have grown. Our marriage has grown stronger in the last 5 years. It’s fun to look back, but I’m glad I’m here now.
I’ve met some bloggers, in real life, and here on my blog. I have learned things from you. I have learned much about myself. I’ve opened my mind to new ideas and thoughts, thanks to all of you.
So, thanks for 5 years! Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read. Thank you for taking the time to write me a line or comment on something I wrote. I appreciate every single comment.
I am grateful to you all!
HUGS!

Friday Fill-ins
This week the sentences are from books. Although I think I know some of them, I decided to make up my own answers.
1. "In a hole in the ground there lived my MIL." (I wish!)
2. "I’m just a woman but that ain't no matter."
3. "After dark the rain began to fall again, and everything in our tent got wet."
4. "The gold came from the hold of the Spanish galleon."
5. "There was a hand in the darkness, and it was comforting."
6. "Accidents ambush the unsuspecting, are you surprised?"
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to the 7 hour car ride to Vegas, tomorrow my plans include spending time with my Sister-in-law and Sunday, I want to get home before dark!
As you probably guessed, we are going out of town again this weekend. I was hoping this was the weekend to sit around and get caught up on chores around my house. Unfortunately, my Sis-in-law is not doing so well. She got news that the tumors on her lungs are growing, so we are going to Vegas to help cheer her up before her treatment, which she is having on Monday.
Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
Brought to you by the letter H
Husband: I’m not sure where I’d be without my hubby. He makes me a better person. Thanks Babe!
Hearts: Of course we wouldn’t be alive without our heart. Also, I love collecting heart boxes and heart jewelry.
Hope: Where would we be without hope?
Heaven: I can’t imagine there is anyone that wants to go to the other place.
Home: Home is where the heart is.
Human: I certainly wouldn’t want to live with a bunch of aliens.
Humor: I love a good joke and I love to laugh. Life would be too boring if we didn’t have humor.
Honesty: Sometimes the truth hurts, but it’s better than being lied too.
History: I love learning about things that happened long ago. It’s fun to imagine how life was like. I’m not saying I would want to LIVE that life, but it’s fun to learn about it.
Happy: Happy, happy, happy!
Harmony: My daughter and I have sung some duets together and although I’m an alto, she has to sing the harmony as I’m not good at that part. She’s really good!
Honey, Herseys, hotdogs, hamburgers, Ho-Ho’s: Just a few of my favorite H foods!
Well, that’s all I’ve got for today. I’m sure I’ve missed some, but once I read other peoples list, I am even more grateful, so it’s a win, win situation.
Go…be grateful already!
Over the river and through the woods
Ah camping! What’s not to like about camping?
Let’s see….
Could it be the bugs?
check
Could it be the cold?
check
Could it be the lack of showers?
check
Could it be the dirt?
check
Could it be the RAIN?
double check
Yes, we had all the flavors of camping. It was hideously splendid. We had fun, we were miserable and then we came home.
We got there on a Friday afternoon. The sun was shining, there wasn’t any wind and the mountain was breathtaking. Once we all got settled in, we made some dinner, made a bonfire and had a great time. Guitars came out and singing was done. Delicious s’mores were made and all was right with the world.
Then came the cold.
I was so cold I had on 2 shirts and 2 jackets. In a sleeping bag with Bossman with a comforter thrown over the top. If Bossman hadn’t cuddled next to me with all his warmth I may have died from teeth chattering. But Bossman managed to thaw me out and I managed to get about 5 minutes of sleep, which is about all one can get in a tent on a deflating air mattress.
The next day was beautiful. We took our time getting up and when we finally got breakfast made for everyone it was around 10. After breakfast we played some games and finally around noon we headed out for a hike.
The path we took led us through the forest and by a small stream. Some people came by us on some beautiful horses. The kids (the youth group we went with) climbed up a mountain side (which scared me to death) but everyone made it safely back down. We found a dead snake on the road and one of the kids decided to carry it back to the camp. My son thought he was a mountain man! He carried an axe around with him and stayed up with the front of the back. He said this was the best time he ever had.
After we got back to camp…I went to BED! I was tired! By the time I got up, it was dinner time. We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs and chili beans and all sorts of camping type foods and pigged out. Again, more singing and more bonfire and more s’mores!
Now, we knew there was a slight chance of rain. So Bossman had the foresight to pack up our car with everything except what was in our tent. Then we went to bed. For some reason I wasn’t as cold. Bossman and the little man and I played some cards before hitting the sack.
About 1 in the morning the rain started. YAY! Luckily, it was rain and there wasn’t much wind with it. The little man thought the creek was going to overflow and about 4 in the morning the 3 of us got out of the tent to go potty and to check the creek (for the little mans benefit). Once the little man saw that the creek wasn’t rising, we all tried to go back to sleep. Needless to say, but 7 we were up. It was getting really wet. As long as we stayed in the middle of our tent we were fine, but the edges were getting wet. Once we got up and talked to the rest of the group, we determined the best thing to do with get packed up and head home. Lucky for us, we were only about 40 minutes from home.
By 9am we were home in our nice warm house. I had a nice hot shower and all was right with the world again.
Oh, I forgot to tell you the snake story. Remember how I said one of the kids carried the dead snake back to camp? Well, he put it in one of the bathrooms. Needless to say, there were numerous people running out of that bathroom. It was quite funny….but I guess you would have had to have been there.
So that’s what I did this weekend…how about you?

dominance re-visited
Bossman and I had a lot of different discussions on our little vacation. One of the conversations revolved around a friend/work partner of Bossmans.
This guy is roughly 10 years younger than we are. He and his wife have been married for about 5 years and they have a little boy that is almost 2. They are nice enough people and we’ve gone out to dinner with them and even spent some time with them on New Years Eve.
But….
Something bothers me about him. I can’t put my finger on it. I think it has to do with his attitude toward his wife.
He’s a suit-and-tie kind of guy. He’s very prim and proper. He’s always giving Bossman a hard time about his clothes. He knows how to schmooze with the best of them. His parents taught him great work ethics. So much so that when his wife found out she was pregnant he was unhappy that she would have to quit her job. (she’s a teacher and it turns out that she would have been let go anyway because our state doesn’t believe we need education and so all the teachers are getting laid off, so if you see a bunch of really dumb Californians running around…..wait…this is another post…sorry)
Ok, to the parts that bother me. First, when he found out they were having a baby, the way he told Bossman was this…. “My old lady’s knocked up.”
Uh, ok. Also, he never, ever, says he loves her over the phone. Now, I know, some people don’t say the L word, but Bossman says it to me every time we hang up the phone with each other. So, it’s not like he should be embarrassed to say the L word in front of Bossman because Bossman says it in front of him.
I think the biggest thing that annoys me about this guy is that he thinks his wife should take care of the house and the baby and he shouldn’t have to do anything. He’s the kind of guy that expects everything to be done when he gets home and all he has to do is pop a beer and plant himself on the sofa. (But he also wants her to generate some sort of income) When we were at their house, he was expecting her to come and do and get whatever he needed while he sat and schmoozed with his guests. At my house, Bossman and I take care of the guests together, we get and do and come…together.
And….here's the thing I don’t get. Isn’t that what d/d or dominance is kind of about? Aren’t I suppose to be the one that serves my husband, takes care of the kids and house and be HAPPY for it? I AM happy for it. But, I don’t want him rubbing it in my face. I don’t want him to make me feel like I’m less for being the happy homemaker. If he comes home and is tired, I take care of him. If he comes home and I’m tired, he takes care of me.
So, what is it that bugs me so much about this guy? It could be that I don’t see the dominance there. I see the male chauvinist there. But I don’t see the love. I don’t see the equality. From the outside, it would see like they have a “I love Lucy” relationship. He wears the pants, she stays home. And normally that’s ok with me because that’s what I am into.
So, why does this particular relationship strike me the wrong way? I either want it that way, or I don’t.
Sometimes, this stuff is so confusing!
Gratitude Tuesday
My weekend was pretty fantastic. We had such a great time on our little trip. There was a lot of reconnecting and relaxing and just being together.
Here’s my gratitude list for today.
Gratitude Tuesday: I really love being able to set aside some time each week to be grateful. It helps to focus on the good things in life. Sometimes with the hecticness of our lives, we forget to be grateful.
God: I am so grateful to live in a country where I can believe what I want to believe, worship what I want to worship and read what I want to read. I believe in God and I am grateful that I am able to believe in God without persecution.
Grapes: Aren’t they wonderful? I love grapes.
Gems: If you are a skimmer, you may have missed the post where I said I got a new diamond for our anniversary. Last year, I lost the diamond in my engagement ring. I cried. I don’t have a lot of jewelry and I don’t have anything expensive other than my wedding ring and eternity band. I’d often though it would be nice to have a bigger wedding set, but when I lost that diamond I felt like I lost my best friend. I was heartbroken. It was then that I realized I could never have a different set. This set is a part of me. Bossman got a new diamond placed in my engagement rind. It’s bigger and shinier and boy does it feel nice on my finger. I feel like I’m whole once again.
Guitar: Bossman plays the guitar. He is wonderful at it. He plays in a band and he writes his own songs. I’ve even been known to sing some of his songs in church.
Games: I love playing games and I’m very competitive. It is fun to be with the family and play a game.
Gardens: I’m not much of a gardener, but I do love gardens. Botanical gardens are really interesting and beautiful.
Gum: I love chewing gum and my family thinks I’m annoying because I love to pop my gum and blow bubbles with my gum. I’m sorry it’s annoying, but it’s so satisfying to get a loud pop or a big bubble from my gum.
Gifts: Who doesn’t like a gift?
Galaxy: I love looking up at the stars. We have a trampoline and on warm summer nights you can find us out on the trampoline looking at the stars.
Genitals: Need I say more?
I think I’ll leave this list on a happy note. Not that the whole list isn’t positive, but really, gentials? You just gotta love genitals!
Have a grateful day!
The English language
THIS IS GREAT!!! Read all the way to the end................ Somebody spent a lot of time on this. (no it wasn’t me, do you really think I’m that smart??? )
You think English is easy???
1) The bandage was wound around the wound.

20) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?
21) I wanted to read the book, but I already read it.
Let's face it - English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant, nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England or French fries in France .. Sweet meats are candies while sweet breads, which aren't sweet, are meat. We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find that quicksand can work slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it a pig.
And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't groce and hammers don't ham? If the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth, beeth? One goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2 meese? One index, 2 indices? Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it?
If teachers taught, why didn't preachers praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat? Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an asylum for the verbally insane. In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell?
How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wise guy are opposites? You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which, an alarm goes off by going on.
English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the creativity of the human race, which, of course, is not a race at all. That is why, when the stars are out, they are visible, but when the lights are out, they are invisible.
PS. - Why doesn't 'Buick' rhyme with 'quick'?
You lovers of the English language might enjoy this .
There is a two-letter word that perhaps has more meanings than any other two-letter word, and that is 'UP.'
It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP ? At a meeting, why does a topic come UP ? Why do we speak UP and why are the officers UP for election and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report ?
We call UP our friends. And we use it to brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver; we warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and some guys fix UP the old car. At other times the little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses. To be dressed is one thing, but to be dressed UP is special.
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is stopped UP. We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night.
We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP ! To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4th of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions. If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with a hundred or more.
When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP . When the sun comes out we say it is clearing UP...
When it rains, it wets the earth and often messes things UP.
When it doesn't rain for awhile, things dry UP.
One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now my time is UP, so........it is time to shut UP!
Oh …one more thing:
What is the first thing you do in the morning & the last thing you do at night?
U-P
Interesting car talk
Him: “Whatcha thinking about?
Me: “Nothing much, you?”
Him: “Just thinking about touching your boobs.”
Me: “As you should." “Now all is right with the world.”

In case you haven’t guessed by now, Bossman and I are heading out for a road trip this morning in celebration of our anniversary. We are leaving the children home! YAY!
So, behave, be good, have fun while I’m gone and I’ll see ya’ll on Monday!
Forever and for always
I wrote and re-wrote this post, but nothing seemed good enough.
I tried writing a love note…too sappy.
I tried writing a poem…too cliches’.
I tried writing down facts…too boring.
I tried writing a list…too clinical.
I tried writing something funny…to corny.
So, I’m just going to come right out and say it….
Happy 20th anniversary Babe! I love you and I can’t wait to see what the next 20 hold.
Love,
Your wife
"Forever And For Always"
In your arms I can still feel the way you
want me when you hold me
I can still hear the words you whispered
when you told me
I can stay right here forever in your arms
And there ain't no way--
I'm lettin' you go now
And there ain't no way--
and there ain't no how
I'll never see that day....
[Chorus:]
'Cause I'm keeping you
forever and for always
We will be together all of our days
Wanna wake up every
morning to your sweet face--always
Mmmm, baby
In your heart--I can still hear
a beat for every time you kiss me
And when we're apart,
I know how much you miss me
I can feel your love for me in your heart
And there ain't no way--
I'm lettin' you go now
And there ain't now way--
and there ain't no how
I'll never see that day....
[Repeat Chorus]
(I wanna wake up every morning)
In your eyes--(I can still see
the look of the one) I can still see
the look of the one who really loves me
(I can still feel the way that you want)
The one who wouldn't put anything
else in the world above me
(I can still see love for me) I can
still see love for me in your eyes
(I still see the love)
And there ain't no way--
I'm lettin' you go now
And there ain't no way--
and there ain't no how
I'll never see that day....
[Repeat Chorus (2x)]
I'm keeping you forever and for always
I'm in your arms
Lets talk dominance again
So, the other day, I asked for definitions of dominance. I was trying to explain to Bossman why certain characters in books turn me on so much with their dominance.
Thank you for the great comments back on that. Bossman and I read them together. After reading them, Bossman said that it sounded like a lot to live up to.
Is it a lot to live up to? Do we expect too much out of our men?
Bossman has most of the qualities described in each of the comments, so I was a little perplexed that he would think that was a lot to expect out someone. Maybe he doesn’t see himself as a dominate force.
For me, one of the most important factors is the protectiveness. I want to know that my man would take a bullet for me, slay dragons for me, rescue me from kidnappers or run through a fire to pull me out. I’m happy to report that I know that Bossman would do that for me. He has done that for me. Ok, he hasn’t exactly had to save me from any of those things, but I know he would if he had to.
I’ve said before that I was born submissive. I believe that with all my heart. I had submissive thoughts very early in life. So I’m guessing that men are born certain ways also. I’m sure you’ve witnessed the wimpy man. The man that is totally whipped by his wife. How did the man become that way? Was he raised to be wimpy? Was he born without the dominate gene or is it just that he’s missing his balls?
Maybe it’s just too old-fashioned to dominate. Society has already said that submissive women are weak and frail. Women are suppose to be able to bring home the bacon and fry it up in a pan. Women aren’t suppose to want the man to be in charge. We aren’t suppose to give up power to the males for that is demeaning to womankind! So because the women have stated it as thus, the men have been beaten down. They are afraid to wear the pants because then they are considered brutes, bullies and Oh my, domineering! Society has beaten the MEN into submission!
But I’m betting that most women just go along with that BS because they don’t want to look stupid. There are very few of us in the world willing to admit that we WANT our men to be dominate. We want to submit. We want the men to take care of us.
Why can’t we submit to our men but still own the world? Why must we protect ourselves when we have men to do that for us? It’s pretty obvious that men are stronger, so why must we try and prove that we are better than them? There is a reason why when there is a crisis it’s always women and children first. It’s not because we are better than them. It’s because they are stronger than we are. But stronger doesn’t mean better. It’s just means different. Males and females bring their own unique abilities to the table. We are different and so why can’t we just accept that we are different, instead of trying time and time again to prove that we aren’t.
I don’t find submissiveness to be a weakness. I think you have to be strong to submit. You have to trust the person you submit to. You have to let go. Letting go is so hard. It’s hard to give up control.
I guess I answered my own question. Are we expecting to much out of our men? I’m answering NO! I think we all have a purpose in life. The purpose of man is to protect and care for his woman. The purpose of woman is to protect and care for her man.
Sure, I love a good dominate man in books, but I will always prefer my real-life hero……Bossman.
Gratituesday
If I’m not mistaken, today is the letter F. I LOVE the letter F. I mean really….who doesn’t like a good F?
Fantasy: I don’t think I would have this blog without fantasy. Fantasy is what started me thinking of spanking, which led to the computer, which led to blogs, which led to my own blog.
Fish: We have a 72 gallon salt-water aquarium. We have beautiful fish. It’s such fun to sit and watch the tank. It’s like having a piece of the ocean right in my own livingroom!
Friends: I love my friends, but I don’t make them easily. Whether it be on the internet or in real life, I take time to make friends, but once they are my friends, I am very loyal. Be careful, once I’m your friend, it’s hard to get rid of me!
Fingers: Bossman has the best fingers. Being a guitar player means they are rather calloused but I LOVE them. They can be smooth to the touch and they can be rough at the same time. Watching them play the guitar is like watching magic.
Forgiveness: What would this world be like without forgiveness? People make mistakes. The world will never be perfect. If we choose not to forgive people how would we survive? I’m glad that when I make a mistake, my friends and family forgive me.
F*ck: Do you think I could post this list without that word? Did you? That word is usually used in a bad way, but man, sometimes when Bossman and I make love, it’s not really making love, it’s more like f*cking. Funny thing….when we are really getting hot and heavy, I tend to use that word a lot…and I don’t use that word any other time! So, I have to be grateful for that.
French fries: Yum! Need I say more?
Well, that’s my list for the week, I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Ponderings and Friday fill-ins
If any of you were paying attention, you will know that I’m in the middle of reading the Twilight books. Actually, I just finished them. If any of you are truly paying attention, you would know that Edward is my new boyfriend. Finally, if any of you are reading my comments, you would have noticed that Bossman is now jealous of Edward!
Saying that Edward pushed all my submissive buttons got Bossman to thinking. We started discussing what it was that pushed all my buttons. Now, how the heck do I explain it?
How do I explain dominance?
Sure, we all know the dictionary definition, but how do we TRULY explain it?
It’s all about being in control, without being bossy. Isn’t it?
It’s about the man being the man. The person that wears the pants in the relationship. The head honcho.
Now do you see why I’m having such a hard time with this? Sure, this is what it’s all about….but it’s so much MORE then all that.
So, think about your favorite character….whether it be in a book or movie, or whether it be your partner. Tell me how they are dominate. Tell me what makes your submissive buttons go off. Explain it to me. Because I know, but I can’t explain it.
Oh and Bossman will probably be reading this because I told him I was going to ask all of you. I mean, you are the smartest people I know…..
Ok, on to the Friday Fill-ins. I hope you all have a great weekend! I’ll be waiting for my answers…Oh smart ones!
1. Paying for my sisters dinner last night was my last random act of kindness.
2. Another place is not as fun as here.
3. I always consider Bossman in matters of the heart.
4. Coffee, tea or Pepsi.
5. I hate when Bossman and I are on separate paths.
6. Our love reminds me that there is a happy ending.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to quiet time with Bossman, tomorrow my plans include hanging out with my family and Sunday, I want to sleep in!
Gratitude Tuesday
If I'm not mistaken, I'm on the letter E today. Excellent!
E-mail ~ If I didn't have email I wouldn't be able to chat with all my internet friends! Whatever did we do without email?
Easter ~ I just thought of this one and it's because I just joined a choir and we are singing Easter songs! YAY Easter. Even if you don't believe in all that holy stuff, what's not to like about chocolate Easter eggs? (cadbury is my favorite!)
Ears ~ Ever since the wildchild has had her ear problems, I am very grateful for ears. Even though her ear may be a little deformed, she can still hear and THAT is most important to me!
Edward Cullen ~ O. M. G. I LOVE Edward. If you don't know who Edward is then you haven't read the Twilight books. I feel the need to explain why I am reading them. (I'm on the last one now.) Someone recommended a book club website. I went to the website and they had rankings of best and worst books. The rankings were merely people like you and me voting. I got a little upset that some of my favorite books were on the worst list. I noticed that Twilight was on the worst list too. I figured I must just have bad taste in books and thought if all my books were on the worst list then I would like this book too. I was RIGHT! Not only do I LOVE the Twilight seris, I am madly in love with Edward! He's my new book boyfriend. I'm not sure why but Edward pushes every single submissive button that I have! A book....about vampires, pushing my submissive buttons? Who'd a thunk it?
Eggs ~ I prefer my eggs sunny side up. Lots of toast or hashbrowns on the side, to slop up all the egg gooiness! Yum!
Elephants ~ Aren't they wonderful? I find them majestic and soulful.
Elf ~ If you have never watched the movie Elf, you are missing out! I love that movie and pretty much any movie with Will Farrell in it!
Well, that's my list. It's not long and not that exciting, but you know what.....
I can't get my mind off of Edward. I've got to get back to that book!
So, what are your favorite E's and how grateful are you today?
