Instead of commenting to the comments, I will answer you all here.
As much as I would love to think that the wildchild will be eating pizza after surgery, the doctor assures me that this will NOT be happening. Although I love all your enthusiasm, I seriously doubt the wildchild will be ready for a baseball game the day after surgery.
Seems the older you are the harder the surgery is for you. Doc says she must have zero activity for at least 10 days, but he is telling us that realistically she will probably be down for 2 weeks. Seems that the younger kids have a much easier time that teens do. The first few days we have to be careful that she doesn't start bleeding. I don't want to be at a baseball game, 3 hours away, if she starts bleeding.
So, as it stands right now, Bossman and the little man will be going to the game. The wildchild and I will stay home and watch on TV. If you happen to catch the game on TV, look for the handsome guy and the red head sitting behind home plate!
Anybody know how to deactivate that voodoo doll? Any potions or spells I can try? I know a lot of you are reading Harry Potter. Any ideas in there??

Oh, one more thing.... Have none of you noticed my new look or do you all hate it??? Comment whore that I am, I would appreciate it if SOMEONE would mention my new look!
Don't feel guilty though. I wouldn't want anyone to feel obligated to tell me how beautiful my new template is. As a matter of fact, forget I even mentioned it.

ReplyDeleteNot surprised to hear about the tonsils thing being rougher the older you are. Although my "boy" (25 years old and getting married in a month, still my Boy, hehehe) called today and said his tonsils have been swollen lately and it hurts a lot. Great. I won't tell him what your doctor said; maybe it's not his tonsils but he said he's going into Kaiser tomorrow so I guess he'll find out then.
Anyway, good luck to your Girl! Hopefully she will recover much more quickly than expected and amaze everyone! :)
And lots of ice cream, right? That's still true isn't it? Something you can both look forward to! :)

I hesitated to mention the template, when the wildchild and her tonsils were so much a topic. I love it! Sorry to hear about the long and slow recovery, but as you say, best not to push it.

I love it, especially the pretty pink flower. I had my tonsils out at 16. I did not want to say anything, but it was hard, two weeks is about right. And she is not going to want to go to ball game that soon.
