The tale continues

Thursday morning, we got up early so we could get to the campground.  We were just praying we would get a spot.  As we were loading the last bit of food and such into the RV, Bossman put the steps down to get in and it was really close to the curb and it hit his toe!  Luckily he was wearing shoes, but it hurt pretty bad.  He didn't want to look at it, so he sucked it up and we continued getting ready.  After getting settled at the campground, he looked and OUCH!  It is so bruised!  He's ok now, thank goodness!

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, Bossman got in the house freezer and...everything was defrosting and melting.  I'm not sure if it's broken or if it got left open, but Bossman said not to worry about it, we would take care of it when we got home.

So finally, we hit the road!  Everything was pretty smooth getting there.  Once we got there we got worried because the campground looked full.  We got to the gate and low and behold, there were still spots!  HOORAY, finally something went right.

Bossman is getting good at backing up Bullet and so it wasn't a problem getting it parked!

Everything was awesome after that!  We had the best time.  We've done a lot of camping and this was the best camping trip ever.  Of course my daughter says it's not camping if you are in an RV, but whatever...We had too much fun.  We've never camped to close to the ocean.  I mean, we have camped at places close, but seriously, we were literally 10 feet from the ocean.  In the morning, when it was high tide the spray would hit the RV window.  It was amazing!

Today I am thankful for the life I live.  I never imagined I would own an RV.  Bossman has worked so hard to get us to this point.  Although sometimes I don't feel like I contributed, I did.  I stayed home and raised our children.  Now we are at the point where we can spend time by ourselves.  Bossman and I were only married one year when we found out we were expecting our first child.  It's been 26 years since we've been able to do things on our own.  We are getting to know each other all over again.  I am very thankful for that!
Meet Bullet

Home

We made it home!  What a wonderful trip we had.

It didn't start out so great though.  This was only the second time we've taken Bullet out.  We've never owned a RV before and there is a LOT to know about them.  Bossman is really good at figuring things out but there were still bumps along the way.

We store the RV so we had to pick Bullet  up on Wed.  Our plan was to leave Thursday as we were going to a "first come, first serve" campground and we were nervous we wouldn't get a spot.  Our plan all along was to pick up Bullet Wed and Bossman was going to work Thursday until noon and then we would go. Wednesday afternoon Bossman called and said he didn't have to work the next day and we should just leave when he got home.  I wasn't exactly ready for that, but I hurried and got ready.  We loaded up the truck and headed up to the RV storage place.  It has been a month and a half since we last took him out.  We weren't entirely sure what we were doing.  Our battery was dead and the power jack wouldn't work.  Oh man.  After fumbling around like bumbling idiots, Bossman managed to figure it all out.  By the time he figured it out, we were wiped!  Also it was sunset and the campground was an hour and a half away.  We decided it was best to go home and leave early in the morning.  We can park the RV in front of our house, so that's what we did.  SHEEZ!!!

I am thankful that we figured it out.  I will tell the rest of the story tomorrow but just know, I am so thankful for my very smart husband and I'm glad he has the patience to figure things out.  I'm thankful for the Bullet.

I hope you all had a terrific weekend.  I know I did!

Last night here

This is the last night. We've had an amazing time. I am so thankful for this amazing life I've been given. It's been an amazing journey and I can't wait to see what is next!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Can you believe I haven't missed a day of posting yet?  Frankly, I'm proud of myself! It's not easy to post on your phone!
See ya tomorrow!

Haha! I just reread this. Seriously, how many times can I use the word amazing?

Still camping

RV camping is the best! We are having a great time!

I'm so thankful I get to spend this time with my husband! We are very lucky!

Since I'm blogging from my phone, these posts are short.

Enjoy my view from this evening!

Thankful Thursday!

So I don't think I've shared with you all that Bossman and I bought a RV last month. It's always been a dream of mine to have an RV and Bossman has made that dream come true. I am mighty thankful.

This weekend we are taking Bullet (that's what we named him) camping. We found a campground an hour and a half from our house. We just got here and WOW! We are in paradise! Couldn't be more thankful!

Here's a picture looking out the back of the RV.
So thankful!
I don't know how I got so lucky!

It's finally over!

Today I'm thankful the elections is over!

That's all for today.
Happy Hump  Day!

26

I just voted!  My son just turned 18 this year, so it was his first year to vote.  Since he's in a different state he had a mail in vote.  He made me promise to get him a "I voted" sticker.

I'm super proud of both of my children.  They both voted!  That makes me happy!

Speaking of being proud of my children...

Today is the wildchilds 26th birthday!  Today I am so thankful for her.

She is an amazing person.  She gave us hell as a teen, but now she is such a lovely young woman.

She makes me laugh every single day.

She is smart, she is beautiful, she is amazing!

So, Happy Birthday Wildchild!  I love you to the moon and back!

Vote!

I can see the time change is not a big hit.  Honestly, I was just trying to put a positive spin on it.  It's really not my favorite.  I hate the spring when we have to move forward.  Takes foreve to get used to that.

So let's just get the conversation over with.  Lets talk about the election.

I have a very special thing to be thankful for tomorrow and that is why we are talking about the election today.

I'm not going to tell you who I'm voting for.  I can't believe how many people have unfriended people on facebook because of who they are voting for.  I believe that who I vote for is personal and it's nobodys business.

With that said, I encourage everyone to vote.  It wasn't that long ago that women didn't get to vote.  They had NO voice.  Now women have a chance to be president.  That's progress.  I am thankful for that!

I know that the candidates have problems.  In all honesty, they both suck!

BUT, I am incredibly grateful that I get to vote!  I am thankful that I live in a country where I GET to vote!

So, please, I don't care who you are voting for!  I promise to still be your friend.  And please,

GO VOTE!

Time change

Today I am thankful for the time change.

I like having that extra hour.  It's like a gift.  Today I got up an hour before I usually do.  I feel like I got some stuff done.

I'm not fond of it getting dark earlier.  But it's not so bad.  It just means we get to start hibernating in our houses.  Good book, hot chocolate, some popcorn.  Or we could watch a movie and snuggle under the blankets.

It's finally starting to feel like fall around here.  I actually had to put a sweater on today.

My daughter and SIL are coming to town.  They should be here soon.  Her birthday is Tuesday and she and her hubby will go to Disney, so we will celebrate her birth tomorrow.

Just more things to be thankful for!

Spiritual belief

I don't know if you would consider me religious.  I do go to church pretty regularly.  My child went to a christian high school and he is going to a christian college.

Personally, I have my beliefs.  I'm not sure what I would do without them.  I have gone through lots of things in my life and without my personal beliefs, I don't know how I would have survived.

I don't like pushing my beliefs on others.  My kids think I'm religious, but they would, they were raised that way.  Funny thing is though, my daughter told my SIL when they first started dating that Bossman and I were religious.  He got nervous meeting us because he didn't know what to expect.  I think he thought we were going to throw the Bible at him.  Low and behold, he was pleasantly surprised.  We didn't throw the Bible at him and we don't throw our religion at him.  I have a friend that is not religious.  I've known her since high school.  She has told me numerous times that she loves how I don't talk about religion with her (unless she asks) but she can tell I am a good person.  I think everyone has to make up their own minds on religion and spiritual things.  If you ask, I will be happy to tell you what I think on the subject but I am not going to be knocking on your door anytime soon asking if you found Jesus!

I am very thankful for my beliefs.  I don't know where I'd be without them!

Friday

I have a lot to be thankful for today.

It's Friday!  Doesn't matter if I go to work or not, Friday is an awesome day.  Weekends are the best because I get to spend them with Bossman.

Heating pad.  I have a bad neck.  Once or twice a year my neck decides to freak out.  Bad pain in my neck and shoulder, even hurts to breath.  Laying down is virtually impossible!  The heating pad is my friend during these bad days.

Ice pack.  See paragraph above.

Television.  When I can't move much, it's great to have my tv to escape to.  Along with my Tv, I love my netflix!

Ipad.  Honestly, I wouldn't be posting today if I didn't have my ipad.  I enjoy reading on it, facebooking on it, emailing on it, sometimes it's my lifeline to the outside world! Along with my ipad, I love my kindle.  Reading is even better than TV!!!

So, what's your favorite Tv show?  I've got to many to mention, but right now my new favorite is called, This is us.  Such a smart show.  You should watch it.

What's your favorite book, or series of books?  I am in love with Harry Potter.  I have all the books and movies.  I'm also madly in love with the Outlander series.  I've read both too many times to count.  They are comfort to me.

Ok People...go out and be thankful!

Costco

Today I'm thankful for Costco.

That might seem like a weird thing to be thankful for but, there it is.

I LOVE Costco.  Everything you go there is something new to see.  I love going up and down the aisles looking for new treasures.  Today I bought some chicken tortilla soup, a nativity set, (I collect them and this one was only 17 dollars) a set of glass bowls for my daughter, a case of canned pineapple, a case of chicken noodle soup, two bags of Skinny pop popcorn and a giant soft plush blanket.

I know some like to go for the samples.  I am not really a sample girl, unless it's something that really looks good.

So...if you go to Costco, what is your favorite thing to buy there?

Since I'm asking, I have another question.

Trader Joe's is right next to Costco, but I've never gone.  What kind of things do you like to get at Trader Joe's?  I'm thinking of expanding my horizons!

Thankful Day 2

Since Thanksgiving is in November, this is the perfect month to be thankful.

Today, I am thankful for my husband's job.  I could be thankful for him, but I'm saving that for another day.

Bossman has been in his profession for roughly 17 years.  He's been with this company for almost 15.
When he started out on this journey, we were broke.  We lived paycheck to paycheck and we even had to live with the in-laws for a while.  It was tough.

The sacrifices we made were worth it.  After many many years of barely making it, we are now doing fantastic.  I never thought we'd make it this far.

Of course, being financially stable is a reason to be thankful, but the main reason to be thankful is because for the last 10 years or so, I haven't had to work.  I realize what a blessing it is to not have to work.  Not many people get the opportunity to stay home.  I was able to take care of my kids and take care of our house.  Even after the kids left, I am able to be home.  It's amazing!

I don't know how I got so lucky.

What are you thankful for today?

30 days of Thankfulness

What better way to get back into blogging than starting 30 days of Thankfulness?

They say habits take 21 days to form, so I figure if I have to post every day for 30 days, I should be back in the habit of blogging....right?

You'll be happy to know our trip to Washington went well.  We had a great time with the boy.  I missed that face!

Let's talk weather.  See, I live in a place that has very boring weather.  60's and 70's are the norm for my area, most of the year.  A little warmer in the summer and a tad chillier in the winter...but generally boring, boring weather.  We are in an extreme drought, so we don't even get rain.

Washington, on the other hand, has seasons.  Right now they are having something called FALL. The leaves were changing, it was in the 40's.  It was just amazing.  I will always love where I live!  I get to live by the ocean!  It's not to hot and not to cold.  BUT, it was amazing to enjoy some fall weather.

As for what I am thankful for today?  I'm thankful for the beautiful weather I got to experience in Washington.  My eyes couldn't take in all the beauty that was there.  I'm also thankful for the beautiful weather I have here in my own neck of the woods.  We landed yesterday to a beautiful sunset over the ocean.  I'll take that!!!!

Want to see a picture of me in the beautiful fall of Washington?

And I'll leave you with a sunset from my own slice of heaven.

taking my boy to college

I've neglected my blog.  Shame on me!  I think I need a spanking...HA!

The last couple of months have been CRAZY!

Let's start with bringing the boy to college.  His college in in Washington and it's roughly 16 hours from me.  That, my friends, is a LONG way away!

We decided to take 2 days to get up there and then Bossman and I decided to take a vacation on the way home and take a couple extra days.  That plan was all fine and dandy until I got sick the Monday before we were to leave.  Now, we weren't planning on leaving until Friday, so I figured I would be fine.  By Wed. I wasn't so sure.  I went to the doc and they gave me some antibotics.  I figured that by the weekend I would be ok.  HA!  We left on Friday with me still pretty sick.  We drove 9 hours that day.  Mrs Coughy was having a GREAT time!!!

I wasn't too sick to enjoy the scenery.

Next day, we drove another 7 hours.  FUN!  Meanwhile, I still wasn't feeling good.  But we made it!  That night, I decided that instead of helping the boy move into his dorm I would stay at the hotel and rest.  Bossman helped him move in and he met his roommate and they sent me videos and pictures so I wouldn't feel too left out!

Next morning, I really felt bad.  I had been on a zpack and if you know what that is, you know that it's an antibiotic that you take for 5 days.  Well folks, I took my last one and I felt worse!  So Bossman took me to an urgent care and they gave me some stronger meds!

It was early enough in the morning that I didn't have to wait and Bossman didn't miss the activities with the boy.  I went back to bed and by the afternoon I was ready to cough all over the world....

I did manage to walk around the boys campus with him.

Ok, I walked and he skateboarded.

I also got to meet his roommate. He seems nice!

The next morning was time to say goodbye.  I will admit to tears.  It was hard.

Then it was time for us to hit the road home.  Now this is the point of the trip when we should have headed home. BUT, we had reservations at numerous hotels and they were all non-refundable.  So like the trooper I am, I carried on.

We went to Idaho to visit some of Bossman family. Then we went to Reno. Then we went to Sacramento.  Then we finally got home!  Needless to say it was a long week.  Even though I was sick, we did have fun.  We won a bit of money in Reno, and we didn't have to think about the boy being gone until we got home.

It was quite the adventure!  AND that was over a month ago.  This weekend is Parent weekend so we are heading up to see my BOY!!!!!  I'm super excited to see him and also, we aren't driving!  Well, we are flying and then driving but only for 4 hours! We leave tomorrow morning and will be back on Monday!

I'll try to blog more, I have more to share and unfortunately none of it has to so with spanking!  I'll let you know how the visit went!  Have a great weekend!!!

HUGS!

Summer

Summer has been crazy busy.  Our dog, Sadie, got her leg surgery.  It was actually 4 grand and not 2. Still, it was worth it.  She is doing great.  I am glad we did it.  It was stressful the first 10 days because we had to keep her from doing anything.  She's such a happy go-lucky dog that she didn't even seemed fazed by the whole thing.  She still tried to jump up when the doorbell rang.

So I have about 2 weeks left before my son leaves for college.  He's going to be 16 hours away from us.  We are driving up there with him and then we, Bossman and I, are going to take the long way back for a little road trip vacation.

This summer has been filled with watching my son and husband surf.  Weekend trips to see my daughter and just hanging out.  It's been great.

I know most parents are sad when their kids leave for college, but I'm actually excited.  Remember, he's already been going to a boarding school.  I'm used to him being away.  I'm not used to him being THIS far way, but I am already used to it.  I love having him home but I do like it when he's gone.  There is a lot less cooking and cleaning and laundry.  You KNOW how I love laundry!!!

One thing I've been thinking a lot about is spanking.  Nothing has been happening here, boo hoo, but maybe there is a possibility after the boy leaves.  It's fun to think about but I sure home I don't get disappointed.  I guess I should start dropping some hints.  Any suggestions?

That's it for now, what's up in your world?

Dog

I have no words for what is happening in the world today.  I can't wrap my head around it so I'm staying away from the tv today and I'm concentrating on my dog.

I have to take my dog to a special vet today for a consult.  Her regular vet thinks she tore her ACL.  I don't know what an ACL is, but I do know that it is in her leg.

Now, our vet has warned us that this surgery will probably cost around 2 grand.  So I am prepared for that number to pop up today.  What I wasn't prepared for was some of the snide comments I got from people when I told them.

People can be so mean.  Now, I'm not rich by any means, but I'm not exactly hurting for money.  My dog is suffering because she can't put weight on her leg, so we can't take her for walks or play with her.  I don't think she's in too much pain, but honestly, who can tell with a dog?

The thing is, I've had two different people tell me they would never pay that much money for a dog surgery and they would just put her down.

PUT HER DOWN????

We rescued this dog from the pound when she was a year old.  We rescued her two weeks after I had surgery for breast cancer.  Admittedly I am not a dog person.  BUT this dog has captured my heart.  She's our girl.  She loves me the most.  I'm not the one that takes care of her, Bossman does that.  But for some reason she and I are bonded.  Her name is Sadie, but I should have named her Shadow because all she does is follow me around.

Anyway, the point is....Who tells someone they should just put down their dog instead of giving her the surgery?  I realize, some cannot afford this, but I can.  So, don't tell me not to waste my money.  Don't tell me she's not worth it.  Don't try and make me feel guilty for going the extra mile for my dog.

If you looked into those beautiful brown eyes, you would totally understand.

Crazy June

June was absolutely crazy!  It's started on June 1st, when my son turned 18.  Since his graduation was on the 5th, we decided to go up to his school on the 1st, surprise him, and then use a couple of days as vacation as he finished up his school year.

He was quite surprised when he came downstairs from his upstairs dorm room and found his father and I there with cake and pizza for the whole dorm.  At first he didn't see us as there was a crowd of boys anxious to eat pizza.  I came out of the crowd and said, "I couldn't let my baby turn 18 without a kiss from his Mom."  His eyes got big and he said, "MOM! What are you doing here!"

Needless to say, it was a great birthday!  I was happy to see him and he was happy to see us.

Few days later was the biggest surprise of all.  We flew in his "girlfriend" from Indiana.  He had been dating her for almost a year but had never MET her in person.  I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that in some way or another.  We were in his room helping him pack it up when my daughter showed up with the girlfriend.  She, my daughter, knocked on the door and came in and the girlfriend followed.  He was so surprised I think there were tears!  They just hugged and hugged.  After a few minutes they let go of each other, but then they wanted to leave.  So they took off for a couple of hours and we went back to the hotel.  It was really awesome.

The next day, he graduated!  I'm so proud of that kid!  He is awesome.

The girlfriend stayed for 10 days, coming home with us and hanging out with my son for the week.  They had a great time together.

A week later, my daughter and her husband decided to move.  They have moved 4 times since getting together. This time they moved about 2 hours from my house.  It was lovely having them around the block, but 2 hours isn't really that bad.  Of course they moved inland and it's QUITE hot there.  Too bad for them.  Hopefully they won't move again for a long time.

Back to the boy.  He broke up with the girlfriend.  Turns out, my son is a bit of a ladies man.  He became friends with a girl at his school and they didn't do any cheating, there were definitely some feelings between them.  So while the girlfriend was visiting, they talked and realized that although there was feelings between them, it wasn't going to work out.  He's going to college in Washington and she lives in Indiana.  The "friend" from school is going to the same college and I think he realized that the friendship could become something more.  He is still friends with the girl from Indiana but for now they broke up.  Ah, young love!  So complicated.

Anyway, that was my June!  How was yours?

18, graduation and surprise

My baby is turning 18 on Wed...then he's graduating high school on the following Sunday.

When I started this blog he was in kindergarten.  So thank you all for going on this journey with me.  I can't believe it's happening.  Somebody send tissues!

It's a bit ironic, but my son has a girlfriend that he met online.  They've been online dating for almost a year.  They haven't actually met in person so for graduation we are flying her in.  He doesn't know this so....SURPRISE!  Not tomorrow, but next Saturday will be the big surprise.  I don't know what he'll do. He's madly in love with her, I've spoken to her on Skype and emails and such and she seems very nice.  I hope so because she's going to be here for a week and a half!

In other news,

My birthday was fantastic!  Bossman really went out of his way to surprise me and make my day super special.  His gifts were so great.  Unfortunately, he hasn't used the slapped thingie yet.  (What the heck is it called?). I thought maybe spanking might make a come back in our lives.  We had a late night discussion and we're trying to figure out when our relationship was the best and Bossman said he thought it was when we had spanking in our lives.  I agreed and I thought we decided to bring it back. But so far, nothing.

Things are going to be crazy here the next couple of weeks so I'm not holding out hope that it will happen, but I am encouraged that there was some discussion.  So, think positive thoughts for us!!

Lastly,  I think my boy is going to go away to college after all.  We are in the process of working it all out and if it happens he will be 15 driving hours away.  Sending him to boarding school was really hard, we missed out on a lot of things, but we were only 3 hours away and we made it work and it was the best thing we ever did for him.  Sending him to college is like sending him to the moon.  I realize this will be such an amazing experience for him and I am excited for him but, but....but he's my baby.

I hope everyone out there is doing great.  I hope you are getting all the spankings you want and need!  Thanks for reading.  It means the world to me!

HUGS!

Happy Birthday to ME!

So far Bossman has done really well!

I forgot

The day before my 48th birthday.  Bossman is taking me to a beach hotel for the night and a dinner overlooking the ocean.  It's going to be great, but the weather is crap!  Cloudy and rainy.  Stupid weather!

In other news...

The other night when Bossman got home, he gave me a kiss, pretty normal action when he gets home.  The kiss though, led to other things, including clothes on the floor leading to the bedroom and a spanking.

I forgot about spanking.  I forgot how they feel.  I forgot how it feels to be pulled over his lap. I forgot how it feels to lay over his lap. I forgot how much it stings.  I forgot how later in the evening my butt feels sensitive and itchy.  I forgot how sexy it is. I forgot how it makes me feel so submissive.

I forgot how much I liked it.

I hope I can get some more reminder real soon.

I really hope!

Just thinking...

The other night, Bossman and I were talking and he mentioned that he had read my latest blog posts.  Not that I've been posting a lot, but he hasn't read here for awhile.

I asked what he got out of the posts, as honestly I don't really remember what I wrote.  He said that he felt like we should give spanking a go again.

We haven't really been doing much spanking around here.  We had a big blow up about it, last year, I think, and so we stopped.  I still think about it and if I'm being honest, I still enjoy a good spanking clip and a good story, but I sort of gave up the notion that we would be doing it again.  So, thinking about starting it up again is....well it's a little daunting.

He hasn't mentioned it again, so I'm not sure if he's going to start it again or not.  I am really enjoying toying around with the idea in my brain. BUT, starting it up again...well, I just don't know how I feel about that.

Listen, I'm not going to turn down a spanking.  Okay, I probably will fuss about it a little, but if he pushes a little, I'm sure I'll give in.  I'm interested to see what my actual feelings will be.  I also wonder how he is going to feel about the whole thing.

If anything, it's really fun to think about.

What are you thinking about these days?

Busy life

Things are busy around here these days.  The boy is home from school for spring break and keeping us on our toes.

The girl and her hubby have come over a few times this week for some family games and it's been so fun to just have everyone in the house and laughing together.

The boy is about to graduate.  He has a girl friend in a far off land called Indiana.  Weird thing, they met online and they haven't actually met in person.  I don't know how they met, but hey, what can I say? I've met some people on the internet too.

Anyway, they have been going out for 8 months.  If you can call it that. I mean, let's face it. Things are a lot different from when I was dating Bossman.  We didn't have email, Skype, texting, cellphones.  So, they probably see more of each other than we did at that age.  They see each other everyday on their phones.  It's crazy, but he claims he's in love.

Little does he know we've aranged a surprise for his birthday/graduation gift.  He turns18 4 days before graduation.  We are flying her in to surprise him.  It's going to be crazy!  I'm nervous and excited for him.  I just can't believe she's going to keep it a secret.  But so far she has.

I know it's only March, but graduation will be here before we know it.  He wants to go to Indiana for college, (I wonder why) but I just don't know if we can afford it.  Unfortunately we don't have much money saved for his college.  It was hard enough paying for his school he's at now and we've had help with it over the years.  I'll be honest.  Thinking about college is making me nervous.  I want what's best for him but I don't want him going into debt for the rest of his life.  Bossman makes too much money to qualify for much financial aid.  So, I don't know what to do.  We can help some but college is expensive.  Plus, if I'm being really honest, I don't know much about going to college.  Bossman and I only went to a junior college.  I have no experience with this stuff.

We will figure it out.  We have a great Jr. College here in our town that he will probably end up attending for a couple of years, he can get his basics out of the way and can live with us and work too.

I don't know, it's just a lot to think about.

That's what going on in my life.....how's everything going in yours?
Ta ta, for now.

27

Last weekend Bossman and I celebrated our 27th anniversary. To put that in perspective, when I started this blog we had just celebrated our 15th.

Also, since I'm celebrating anniversaries, I started this blog in March of 2004, so if my math is correct, I've had this blog for 12 years. My son was in kindergarten, my daughter, 8th grade.  Now, my son is about to graduate and my daughter is married.

It's pretty surprising to me to go back and read some of the things I posted.  Most of it is boring and crap and I was mostly using this blog as a diary.  BUT, It is really eye opening to see how far I've come.  How far WE'VE come.

We've come a long way.  Mostly good. Some, not so good.  But the important thing is that Bossman and I are still married and still in love.  Our kids are healthy and happy.  I survived cancer! The rest, well, the rest is just gravy!

I have often thought I should close down the old blog.  I don't post much so why should I keep it?  But looking back I realize that it's a documented account of my life....well pieces of my life.  And maybe this should be the name of this blog, instead of a day in the life, it should be pieces of my life.

Anyway, I will leave it here.  I will post when the mood strikes.

And, I will continue to try to get Bossman to spank me!

Ta ta for now,
grace

Perfect day

Yesterday was the perfect day.

Bossman had the day off work so we hit the road!

We are blessed beyond belief to live on the California coast.  The ocean is magnificent.  The beaches are amazing, the cliffs are glorious.  And when we've had rain the hills and mountains turn green and beautiful.  Right now we are experiencing highs in the 80's.  Just perfect. (Don't ask me where El Niño is because I haven't seen him!)

About an hour or two away from us the is the most beautiful highway.  It curves along the coast.  If you look up scenic routes in America, this road is sure to pop up as one of the best.  If you've heard of Hana road in Hawaii, well, this road is probably just as glorious.

So Bossman and I headed up the road.  Last time we were there was on our 20th wedding anniversary.  Since next month we are celebrating 27, I guess it's been a while since we were up there.

It's still as beautiful as ever and we enjoyed our day so much.  I had such a great time I want a do-over!

Here are some pictures of our glorious day.

Enjoy!

 Yes those are zebras!

The only thing that could have made this day any better would have been....
A spanking!

Just life

Life is going pretty well for me these days.  Today was a balmy 78 out, so the wildchild and I went for a walk on the beach.  It was lovely!  The hills all around our area are a lovely shade of green now and it was just great.

Couple of weeks ago I had a little scare.  Seems when you've gone through cancer, any little pain you get makes you worry.  I like to call it canceritis because even if I stub my toe....yep, I think there is cancer in my toe.  Anyway, couple of weeks ago, I had some pain in my abdomen.  After a week, I figured I better go in and see my doc.  I had an ultrasound and then...well, then they didn't call me for 5 days.  And it was the weekend and so I sort of forgot because by then the pain was gone.  But then they called and the nurse that called told me false info.  AND then I panicked!  She told me I had a 10 cm cyst and referred me to a gyn.  I called them for an appointment and they said I was a priority so then I REALLY freaked out. They gave me an appointment for the next day.

Bossman came with me to the appointment.  I got there at 2:45.  They didn't call me in until 4:40.

I was sooooo mad!  I had already gone twice to find out what the problem was and just when I got up to reschedule the appointment, the nurse came to the door and called me in.  The only reason I waited so long is because I really thought it was going to be some bad bad news.

Turns out, the nurse told me false info.  The cyst is only 4 cm and very common.  Everything else looked fine and she had a feeling that the cyst was probably gone.  So, I'll be having another ultrasound next week to make sure, but she was so confident that everything was fine that once again, I can breathe easier.  I just hate stupid things like that.  I really hate being afraid all the time.  I try not to go there, I try to realize that I just have to take things as they come, but honestly, it's really, really hard.

In other news,

Bossman and I are getting along really well lately.  Ever since the kids moved out and the boy went back to school, we have been doing really well.  Just this evening, I was jumping in the shower and Bossman was helping me undress.  I grabbed my shoes to put them away and he wasn't happy that I pulled away from him, so he pulled me over his lap and gave me a few whacks with the back scratcher.  Good god, that hurts like hell!  But it was only a few and then he sent me to my shower.  You know what?  I grinned like a goon through the whole shower!  Later on, we were watching a movie and one thing led to another and well, sex in the living room recliner was amazing!

The boy is coming home on Wednesday.  I haven't seen him since the holidays, so I'm looking forward to seeing him.  Also, I redid his whole room, paint, carpet, new bed....the works!  I hope he likes it!

Well, that's what's going on here!  Hope things are good in your world!

Phone cover

I was looking at phone cases on Amazon because mine broke.  Now you would think that buying a phone case would be pretty easy.  As I scrolled down the page I came across this one.

Can you imagine?

Anyway, just thought I would share.  I'll try and catch up with you all sometime this week.

Happy New Year!

I know it's the 18th but it's never to late to say, "Happy New Year".

So, Happy New Year!

I'm done typing Happy New Year!

So.  I almost forgot I had a blog.  But then I saw this little app with a B on it and wondered what it was and it turns out it's the blogger app and when you open it you can do things like post on your blog.

Huh...who knew?

Last time we spoke, it was love your lurkers day.  I love my faithful readers that stopped by to comment even though I haven't posted in forever!  Thank you!

I vowed then and there to post more often and then...I forgot!

But before LOL day, I told you all how my wildchild and her H...Hus...husband moved into my house. Still can't believe that girl is married.  So, they moved in. It was crowded!  And then, then the manchild came home from school and we were quite the houseful.  But it was great.  We had a great time over the holiday.  The best part of the holiday season was New Year's Eve.  That's the day the Mrs. and Mr. moved out.  Would you believe I ran around the house naked?  HA!

The good news is, they moved around the block from me.  I can walk to their house.  So great!  So close yet so far away!  We love it!  The manchild went back to school and my house is now back to just being ours.  The manchild will graduate in June and my house will again have to be shared with him, but we have 6 months to enjoy the quiet!

I hope you all had a great Christmas.
I did a lot of this...
Santa was extra good to me.  I got an iPad pro with the keyboard cover and that is one of the main reasons I'm able to type out this post.  It's so great!  It's like a laptop and a tablet at once.  So easy and convenient.  LOVE it!

Well, I don't want to shock your systems with an extra long post so I'll go now.  Can I promise I'll post more? Not really.  But I'm running out of excuses so....

Toodles!

Love our Lurkers!!

Have you ever had one of those days? Well, I'm having one of those weeks! Thank goodness it's over!

Just so you know, I had this whole post typed and ready to be posted yesterday. I thought I had scheduled it for midnight. After running around like crazy today, I grabbed my iPad, ready to see any comments I might have. Imagine my disappointment when there were no notifications of new comments in my email. I was so sad!

In a panic I log onto blogger and there is my post. Sitting in the draft file.
So stupid of me!

Anyway, not sure if I missed all the fun, but here is my post for all you lurkers!
I love you all!

Ah, lurkers.

I love the lurker.  Mostly I love them because I AM one.

Lurking is easy.  You read, you move on to the next one.  No muss, no fuss!

As a blogger, I know how wonderful comments can be.  They can lift you up, they can bring you down, they can piss you off.

I'm lucky.  I get very, very few negative comments.  The people willing to comment on this blog are so nice and friendly.  Very supportive.  An uplifting comment or thought can really lift a persons spirits.  They make you realize that even though you may think you are going through something alone, you aren't.  Others are going through something similar, or even something worse.

But, I understand not commenting.  You might read other comments and think "that's what I was going to say."  So you don't comment.  You might think that nobody is really interested in what you have to say. (I am!)

Anyway, I appreciate any comment I get.  I am grateful that you took the time to leave me a message, even it's just to say Hi.

So, please, take time today and comment. I promise, I'll be nice.

Love you all,
grace

Going crazy!

This past week has been nuts! Bossman and I haven't had time to fight with each other, which is a good thing. We've been getting along rather well which is a nice change of pace. I'm sure when everything dies down we will seek some counseling. I'm pretty sure that is a good idea.

So...first the wildchild and her hubby moved in. Now, we don't really have an extra bedroom, so they moved into the manchilds room because he wasn't due home until thanksgiving. HAHA! Guess who's sleeping on an air mattress in the living room? Hahaha!

The wildchild has been getting headaches and stuff and she went to the eye doctor last week. Turns out, she has a pseudo tumor. Basically she has fluid behind her eyes which is acting like a tumor. Good thing she came back home so mama could take care of her. If she doesn't get it treated she could go blind. She will have a MRI and a spinal tap to rule out anything else, but they are pretty confident that's what it is. They are also confident that treat will keep her vision in tact.

Meanwhile, the manchilds has been calling saying he's not feeling well. Last week his school took him to urgent care. They said it was a virus and he would be fine in a couple of days. Again I say...haha!

On Thursday I called him and he wasn't in class because he still felt like crap. I told him to come home.  I took him to the doc the next day and they thought he had an abcessed tonsil. Saturday he was even worse so we took him to urgent care and they gave him a steroid shot. Monday they wanted an ear nose throat doc to see him so we drove an hour away because our insurance is stupid! They said it was tonsillitis. Gave him some more meds! Hopefully he's feeling better tomorrow, or else we have to go back to the doctors.

Today I took the wildchild to the eye doctor. She had to have her pupils dilated. Good news is her vision is fine, but she needs to take care of the fluid.

So they are sleeping in the living room, the manchild probably won't go back to school until Thursday or Friday.

My house is full!

So that's what's going on in my life....how's your life going?

Being nice is hard

It's Saturday!  And I'm writing a post. And I've written a post at least once a week for the past few weeks.

These are all reasons to be excited.

BUT, the most important reason to be excited is...

My daughter is moving back to CA.

More importantly, she's moving in to my house for the next couple of months, with her husband, of course.

Her moving back is amazing.  I am so excited that she is moving back and she will be around her for the holidays and everything.

I'm not too excited that they are moving in with us for awhile.  BUT, I'll take the good with the bad and be happy, happy, happy.

On to other news....

Bossman and I are trying really hard to get along.  I hope that her moving in will not make things worse.  However, I'd like to point out that it is extremely hard to be nice.

I mean, I'm trying.  One night I had a really nice dinner made when Bossman got home.  We ate together and talked and it was nice.  But the next day I wasn't feeling it.  I didn't know what to do to be nice.  It was HARD.  I just wasn't in the mood.

I felt like if I tried everyday it would get easier, but it was really hard get in the mood.  I guess I've just been so unhappy for so long that trying to be nice and happy was hard.

It was eye opening.  I'm so used to being mean that it seemed unnatural to be nice.  I FORGOT how to be nice.

I'm working on it though.  AND, I think he's working on it too.

It's a start.

Did I mention the wildchild is moving back home with her husband?  Next week?

Well, she is.  In case I forgot to mention it.

Ok, carry on with your weekend.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Be nice

We had a big talk last night and Bossman said we just need to be nice to each other,

Apparently that is the answer.  Be nice.

I guess I'm not being nice.  Again, I was told that I've given up and I'm not being nice.

So, I need to be nice.

NICE?

Nice!

Nice.

I'm just trying to wrap my brain around that concept because I didn't really think I was being mean. But....I guess I am. I'm a big, big meany.

I did want to clarify the whole walking with him in parking lots.

I usually do.  I've gotten a lot better at making sure I don't walk ahead and that I am next to him and I even go so far as to hold his hand...shock!

So this latest parking lot thing was just a, well, it was a misunderstanding.

It was evening, it was crowded by the door when I dropped off the cart.  I grabbed the HEAVY bag and made a bee-line to my car.  That's it.  It wasn't meant to be a slight.  It was meant to get to the hell out of the crowd and to my car in the fastest way possible.  That's it.

There is so much more that was said last night.  Processing it all is hard because after all that I'm just suppose to be nice.

If only it were that easy.

If only.

confused life

I feel like things are slowly falling apart in my marriage.  Of course every marriage has it's ups and downs, it seems like lately we've had way more downs than ups.

I go though days thinking that things are ok and then I turn around and things aren't good at all.  I'm often surprised at the things Bossman says to me as my intentions are never what he thinks they are. Often I try and defend myself and try and tell him that those weren't my intentions at all.  This just makes him feel like his feelings are invalid and I should just apologize and not try to defend myself.

This goes against my nature.  I guess it's my nature to always be right.

The other day we came out of the grocery store and our car was parked pretty far away.  As I walked out of the doors, I made a bee-line for my car.  I had about 4 bags of groceries and they weren't light.  I really wasn't paying attention to where Bossman was.  I was just walking to my car.  I though he was right next to me.  I was wrong.

Later that night he said that wasn't how people in love act.  I should have paid attention to where he was and walked next to him.  I honestly couldn't believe this was a big deal.  I certainly wasn't purposely trying to walk away from him.  I simply was walking to the car thinking he was right behind me.  I mean, it was crowded and there were lots of people around, it really wasn't a slight of any kind, but Bossman took it as such.  He then went on to say that he feels like I've given up on our relationship and I don't care what happens to him anymore.

That is so far from the truth I don't even know what to say to that.

Of course his feelings matter and of course, I feel bad that he feels that way, but WOW, it just seems so harsh.  Honestly, I think he and I feel the same way, because I feel like he doesn't care anymore about our relationship.  In my eyes, he has given up.  He doesn't initiate anything anymore.  I pretty much have to be the one to start anything. I've said something to him about it and he says it's because he fears he will be rejected.  He also says he can't tell me anything because I under mind him and I just try and be right all the time.

Lets' be completely honest here.  I may not be as submissive at I wish I was, but I certainly don't want to be completely in control of everything.  I don't want to be the only one to initiate things.  I don't want him to just wait for me to do everything.  I don't feel like I'm under minding him, I feel like I'm sticking up for myself and trying to explain my point of view.  But then he feels like his feelings are valid.

Our marriage has never been this way.  So why does he NOW think that I will reject him?  Sure, I don't have the greatest sex drive.  BUT, I still like sex.  AND...if we are being completely honest, I have NEVER had that great of a sex drive. SO...I feel like I'm the same as I always was. I don't feel like I've changed.

But...he does.

So. What do I do to change things?  I'm so confused.  I'm hurt.  I'm frustrated and I'm tired.  I'm tired of going to bed mad and I'm tired of things being fake.  Because in the end it feels like we are just pretending that we are getting along, until the next fight.

And the fights are getting closer and closer together.  And I just don't know where to go from here. We've talked about counseling but Bossman is really busy at work this time of year and we say we should do it and we don't.

I really don't even want to post this because it sounds horrible and I don't want to admit that any of this is true.  But the reality is, I have no where to go.  I have no outlet to talk these things out.  I don't want to admit it to my friends because I don't want them to get mad at Bossman.  I can't talk to my family about it for the same reasons.  I don't want anyone to get mad at him because it's not him.

It's me.  I seem to be the problem.  And I don't know how to fix me.

Not what it seems

I'm a Facebook person. I love being able see what family and friends are up to. It makes me feel connected to the people that live far away from me. I also enjoy posting pics of my family...or pics of me and Bossman.

One of Bossmans friends commented that he wished his relationship was as good as ours.

Huh.

Last week a friend of mine came over for the afternoon. I've known her since 8th grade. She's single and she's the type of person that will have sex with anyone. But she really would like a serious relationship. She was the maid of honor at my wedding. She is always telling me how lucky I am to have Bossman. She is jealous of our relationship.

I am always surprised when people say that about me and Bossman. It's so interesting to realize that our outward appearance is so much different than our actual relationship. I sometimes wish our relationship was as great as people think it is. I wondered, are we living a lie?

As I was thinking that over I realized that maybe I am not seeing things the right way. MAYBE, our relationship is pretty great and I just don't see it. When I post a pic of us at the beach, we ARE having a good time. We are enjoying each other's company. I AM very lucky to have a husband that loves me and hasn't given up on our relationship.

Every relationship has its ups and downs. I have to remember how lucky I am and I have to appreciate what I realize is something I take for granted.

It's easy to say, harder to remember.

Also hard to remember...things aren't always as they appear.

Life is good

I survived the weekend! My kids were great! The married one is a photographer so she took the young mans senior portraits. I love them! She did a great job! I always love when everyone is home. It just gives me purpose. I need to find my purpose when the kids aren't here. That's been hard for me.

What is our purpose?

In other news...I had my check up at the cancer doc yesterday. I have been going every six months. Everything is still going great! Believe it or not, it's been 5 years. He says if I'm going to get a reoccurrence it would have been in the first 5 years. Well, I could still get a reoccurrence, but the chances are very very slim! Like its 97% I won't! I like those odds!!!

Bossman and I headed to the beach for the sunset last night. It was amazing! I'm no photographer, but  seriously, isn't this just lovely? I could have stayed there forever. It's so lovely to just enjoy life.

Bossman and I are hanging in there. I enjoyed all your comments and it gives me great comfort to know we are not alone in our struggle. Nobody likes to feel alone.

Have a great weekend! I'm blogging for the first time from my iPad, so if there are a lot of mistakes...forgive my fumble fingers!

HUGS!

it's complicated

Everyone is coming home this weekend.  My daughters best friend is getting married and the bridal shower is this weekend.  She was the maid of honor at my daughters wedding.  The young man is coming home because we need to get his senior portraits done and my daughter is a photographer, so he needs to come home while she's home.  ~sigh~ It's complicated but the end result is everyone will be home!!!!  I love that!

Bossman and I are ok.  We really had a terrible summer.  I mean, the summer with the kids was great, but our relationship SUCKED this summer.  Bossman pointed out that we fight more when the kids are home.  And I guess he's right, but we aren't fighting about the kids, so I'm not sure why that happens.

Bossman says I've given up.  He says that I used to put up with all his stuff, but now I don't put up with stuff anymore so that makes things hard.  That sounds weird, like I used to just bow down and do whatever he wants.  I wasn't like that, but...

Well, see, it's just complicated.

He also said that I talk down to him.  He doesn't feel like he can talk to me because I always try and prove him wrong or make him feel stupid.

Not sure about that one.

So, the point is, I don't know.  I don't know the point.

Anyway, good news is we are getting along fine now that the kids are away.  We are trying to be nice to each other and trying to do more things together.

It's a start.

I hope you all have a great weekend.  I know I will!

I'm back, I hope

I just had a terrible time getting into my blog.  I almost had a panic attack!  It seems when you've been gone as long as I have and you're as old as I am, you tend to forget pesky little things like passwords and such.

BUT, I'm here, I made it.  I'm back.  I think.

I don't know.  Part of me wants to write and part of me says, "why bother?"

Spanking is not happening, so if you are looking for that, try some of the blogs on my list.

As a matter of fact, things are pretty lousy with me and Bossman.  I would like to write about these things, just to sort it all out.  But it's the sorting out that makes it hard to write about.  That and it's just so HARD to write about things that are upsetting.

So, I'll probably write about it later.  Or not.  Who knows?  I'd like to say I'm going to write it all down, but I don't want to make promises I can't keep.  So, we will see.

Oh, don't worry, we aren't separated or anything.  It's just.....just....it's just hard.

So, lets talk about happy things!  What have you all been up too?  I've missed being around.  I've lurked a little, but honestly it's hard to get your heart into something when things are hard at home.

Anyway, I'll tell you what I've been up too.

Last we spoke, I was knee-deep in wedding planning.  Yep, it happened!  The wild-child has gotten married.  She is not longer a wild child or a bridezilla.  She is happily married and trying to have babies.  Of course I'm not old enough to be a grandma!  Thanks for saying that! I love you all!

The wedding was AMAZING!  The Bride and Groom looked amazing.  Bossman and I looked amazing.  The little man, who is 6'4 and not little anymore, looked amazing.

I can see that my kids need new names for this blog.  When I started this, the little man was in kindergarten, now he's taller than his dad.  The wildchild was driving me crazy and now she's married.  Where DID the time go?

Anyway, the wedding was wonderful.  Full of love and laughter and plenty of dancing. Who knew Bossman could do the robot?

In case any of you long time readers (I almost said old-timers, but NONE of us are old) remember my old stories about my horrible mother-in-law, well, she wasn't invited to the wedding. So it was a drama free zone. As drama free as a wedding can be, of course.

The wedding was in May, so after that the Man-child came home from school.  You'll recall that we are sending him to a academy about 3 hours from us.  HANDS down, the best decision we ever made.  He LOVES it so so much, he doesn't want to come home.  But home he came and the summer was pretty full.

First he and two friends drove to Canada to watch the women play soccer.  I know NOTHING about soccer but it was the world cup, so....well that's all I know.  I hear it was a big deal....HAHA!

After he came home from that, we hung out for a couple of weeks, then we went to Arizona to visit my adult married daughter.  Weird!  It's hard to get used to saying that.  I mean, you guys...I have a son-in-law!

Yes, she moved to Arizona, which is 8 hours from me....so no I'm not happy about that move.  I hope she hates it and moves closer to me.  I mean, I really don't want to move to Az, but if I end up with grand babies, I'll have to consider it.  (I can't really move there, but maybe we can invent a transporter.)

Anyway, did you know that it's HOT in Arizona?  So, so hot!  But I liked the area she's in, so that's good.

So this past Sunday we took the Man-child back to school for his SENIOR year of high school.  Again I ask, when did this happen?  WHEN did this kids get old?  I am exactly the same.  I just don't get it.

Oh, and the man-child got his drivers license and so we got him a car and we followed him to school so that way he can drive himself home.  It's just crazy.

Well, that's what's going on in my life.  The Bossman stuff is in the background and we are trying to figure it out, but it's just hard.

I think I already said that.

Hope you all are doing well,

HUGS!

Control?

We are still trying out the whole, "ask for permission" thing.  At first it was going fine, then the wildchild came home for the weekend so although I asked, I knew there wouldn't be a spanking.

This week, I've asked and he's spanked once.  In my opinion, once is better than none.

Here's the dilemma. I have a whole routine before bed.  Part of that routine happens in the kitchen.  The second half happens in the bedroom and bathroom.  So I've been asking about getting ready for bed AFTER I do my kitchen stuff. (takiing meds and feeding cat) But before going to the bedroom.  But last night, I asked and he said he was going to warm my bottom.  I said ok, but I really have to pee.  Because I hadn't gone to the bedroom yet and that is where I do all my bathroom things, (peeing, brushing teeth, brushing hair) So I went and did those things and when I came out, he said never mind he didn't want to do it because he didn't like waiting for me.  Which made me cranky and happy at the same time....HA!

SO...we got into a discussion about when I should be asking if it's alright to get ready for bed.  His response is that he wants me to get EVERYTHING done, except getting into pjs and THEN ask.

My thought about this is that it seems silly to do the kitchen things, walk past him (most of the time he's on the computer or watching tv) do the bedroom things, come back out into the living room to ask if I can get into pjs.

Does that seem silly to you?

We discussed it and he didn't really back down, so I will do what he asks, but I had to wonder to myself, WHY?  Why is he making into such a hassle?  Could it just be that he wants that control and he wants me to do it, even if I think it's dumb?

Certainly it is not really that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.  But this is what I'm thinking about so there it is...

I still want to continue down this road.  It's kinda fun and kinda sexy.

I'll let you know how things pan out!

asking for permission

It's a good week in graceland!  I've gotten spanked two nights in a row!

Night one was a surprise!  I was going into the bedroom to get ready for bed when he came in and pulled me to the bed and bent me over his knee.  I was certainly surprised.  He spanked for a little while and then we moved on to some more sexy things.  It was really really good.

Afterward, we had some time to chat.  Bossman said he thought we should have more spanking. DUH, you think????

Of course I agreed wholeheartedly!

We discussed how we could incorporate in more into our relationship.  He decided that every evening before bed, I should ask him if it's ok to get ready for bed. See, I have a whole little routine that I perform before bed.  Take my meds, feed the cat, go to bedroom, put ipad and phone on the end table and plug them in, go to the bathroom, put on pjs and THEN, get into bed.

So, the reason he thinks I should ask if I can get ready is so he can decide if he wants to spank or not that night.

So last night, I asked.  It was weird.  I felt a little weird asking but I did it and....

He decided to spank again.

So we went into the bedroom and he spanked me and then told me I could get ready for bed.  He pulled my pants down to my knees.  Pulled me over his knee.  And spanked.  It was the good spanking, the kind with just his hand and not the dreaded backscratcher.  That man can spank hard with his hand.  But still beats the BS.

So, that is what is happening at our house.  I will keep you updated on how this works out, but so far, I'm liking it!

Also, I did go to my doc on Friday.  He said my kidney had the function of a 70 year old.  Dang! My kidney is old!  We are going to retest it this week and if its still low I will have an ultrasound to see if there is anything there to be concerned with.

So lets pray for good results!!!!!!!

And let's hope the spankings continue!

doc update

Thank you all for your good thoughts yesterday! I went to the oncologist yesterday and he didn't seem worried about my numbers.  He said that he couldn't see anything alarming so he wasn't sure why my primary doctor wants to see me.  To say I'm relieved is an understatement!  I still have an appointment tomorrow with my primary, but I'm not worried anymore!  Life is good people, life is good!

In other news, the Manchild has gone back to school!  Bossman and I went out to dinner to celebrate our empty nest again and to talk about our relationship.  It was a nice discussion and we are going to try really hard to figure out how to be happy together, instead of happy doing different things.  We really want to focus on doing things outside the house together.  We really don't have a lot in common outside the kids, so this will be a challenge.  We are thinking of joining the local Y so we can swim or play racquetball or something like that.  It gets us out of the house and exercise is always a good thing.

So, a bird just flew into my sun room.  All I heard is "chirp, chirp, chirp, THUNK!" Poor thing keeps flying into the windows.

Since I am a complete wimp, I let the dog in, and ran for the bathroom.

This is what normal, rational people do....

Right?

UPDATE: The bird has left the building!

WHEW!

As long as he doesn't kill her...

Found this online and though it was very interesting.  As long as he doesn't kill her, it's ok to slap her.

The only kind of slap I want is on my behind. Thank you very much!

a little bit of this and that

I guess I just have to be patient for this spanking thing to work out.  Bossman finally gave me what I needed and it was GOOD!

You may not have noticed, but Bossman posted a comment on my last post.  He doesn't always read my blog and since I don't post very often, this was quite a surprise!

I guess he though about it and decided the time was right for a spanking.  He took me to our room and said this was just a little spanking, to get us back into the swing of things.

He got right into the swing of things and gave my bottom quite a warming.  I forgot how a spanking was.  It was all the right things.  It was embarrassing, it was sexy, it was painful, it was tingly, it was wonderful!

And then....the next day the Manchild came home.  ~sigh~

So, although not much has happened since that lovely night, we have been a lot closer, it seems.  I feel more connected to Bossman.  Does that make sense?  Anyway, it's been great.  And the Manchild goes back to school on Wednesday, so we will see if things progress any further.  I HOPE so!

In other news, I switched doctors a couple of weeks ago.  When I met with the new one, he wanted me to do a blood test to check my iron and stuff.  They called last week and said the Doc wants to see me because my blood sugar was high and my kidney function was low.  WHAT the HECK! Plus they can't see me until this Friday.

I'm of two minds.  One, if it was really urgent they wouldn't be waiting for almost two weeks to see me.....right?  And two, I feel fine. So I'm not sure what is going on, but anytime I have to go and see the doc I get a little freaked.  I mean, hello....cancer.

Against my better judgment, I googled it.  Didn't really mention cancer, so I feel a little better about that.  It could be diabetes, but again, wouldn't they have wanted to see me sooner if I had full on diabetes?  The kidney thing is weird too.  I could just have an infection and didn't know it.  I was feeling a little sick the night before, but everyone is sick so I didn't think much of it.

Bossman says not to worry about it until I have to.  I can't do anything about it now, so why worry?  I actually have a 6 month appointment with my oncologist on Wednesday, so I'll ask him what he thinks.  Anyway, Wednesday and Friday are the appointments so if you could send some good thoughts my way, I'll really appreciate it!

On a happier note, when I first started my blog, my Manchild was only in kindergarten.  Today I am happy (and scared) to say he passed his driving test.  He is an officially licensed driver.

God help us all!

wedding planning

Life is funny.  You don't realize time is passing you by until you look at old photos and videos and you see your younger self.

My daughter was in town this weekend and it was all about the wedding.  I was nervous about how much things were going to cost.  We already are paying a lot for the venue.  This weekend we had a meeting at the venue and went over all the details.  After that meeting we went and met a friend of mine from high school to talk cake. I hadn't seen her in years so it was a mini reunion.  I saw on Facebook that she did cakes so....can you believe she's only going to charge us 160 for the cake? That is for 80 people!  She's really good too, so I'm not worried about it being crappy.  Then we met with another friend for flowers.  She used to own a flower shop and she's been working in flower shops since she was 13.  She is going to do all the flowers for 200.

I'm telling you, it pays to know people!

Only bad thing was the dj.  He didn't show for the appointment we had with him, so that was not good!  But we have other options and we still have some time so it should be fine.

Back to time passing....

My daughter and I brought out the old videos.  First of all they are vhs and it's lucky we still have a vhs player.  Seeing my daughter as a baby was just eye opening.  You just don't realize how fast time is moving and how quickly your kids are going to grow up.  You also don't realize how hideous you looked!

Why the heck didn't someone tell me how horrid I looked?  Big hair, frumpy clothes....Oh geez!  You just never know how you look until you see that!  Ha!  My daughter says I look better now, so I'm happy about that, but we will see in 20 years what I think.

I'm sorry to say you will probably be subjected to wedding talk until May.  It's really all my mind is on.  Well, spanking is still on my mind and Bossman did talk about spanking me the other day, but I ended up making love to him instead.  Is it bad that I sort of regret that decision now?  I mean, don't get me wrong, the sex was great but....  Well a spanking would have been nice.  I haven't had one in so long I've forgotten what it's like.

So, what's going on with all of you?  What should I do to try and get a spanking?  I could use some ideas!

Playboy June 1965

A long time ago some friends of our wanted us to help them sell some stuff on Ebay.  Actually, they wanted us to sell some old playboys.  We tried, but they weren't worth anything.  We recently found them in the attic and decided to take a look at them.  They are AWESOME!

I know you've heard it a thousand times...I only read playboy for the articles.  But honestly, I only read playboy for the advertisements!  Most of them are for whiskey and cigarettes.  But there are some for cars and clothes.

Did you know that in 1965 you could by a car for 2800 dollars.  A sports car even!  The clothes were running about 7 dollars for a good pair of shorts and 4.50 for a nice polo top.

Honestly, the naked pictures were few.  The center spread only has 4 pages and they are very tasteful. The rest of the magazine has articles and letters and such.

There was one letter that really caught my eye.  I wonder why???

I hope you can read it!

Anyway, I've got a whole stack of these old magazines to go through.  If I see anything interesting I will let you know.  I really hope I have that February issue.  I would love to see what Hef wrote about spanking!

Defining moments

Hello everyone!  It's been awhile since I've been here.  I've been wanting to start back up with blogging but I haven't found the motivation, meaning....I haven't had a good spanking lately!

I might try getting a little more active on here again even if there haven't been spankings.  I went back and read some of my archives and there are things that I don't even remember and I'm so glad I wrote them.  I feel sad that I have let the last year go by without very many updates.  It's like looking back on a journal of your life.

But, I'm not promising anything.  I just don't like that kind of pressure!

Anyway, let's talk a minute.

Everyone has defining moments in their life.  Marriages, births, deaths.  These are all defining moments. My defining moment happened 5 years ago today.  I found out I had breast cancer. Sure, I had other defining moments, but this was a biggie!

Somehow and some way defining moments change you.  They may change you for the good, or they may change you for the bad. You might not even realize that you are being changed in that moment.  I know now that I was changed.  It was good change and bad change but I changed and I will never be the same. I don't take things for granted anymore.  I try and celebrate little things.  I love my family more than ever.  I am also more anxious. I am more of a homebody, just wanting to stay home where it's safe.  Yes, I was changed.  Even my body changed. Well, when they take a couple of lumps out of your boob, it tends to change too.

I went back and read my archives for 2010. A lot of things happened that year.  Mostly centered around the cancer.  I was surprised at how I had so many things to write about.  I was surprised that I still had a little humor in there too.

Many things happened that year.  My 36 year old sister in law died that year.

One thing that didn't happen that year.  I didn't die.  For that, I am eternally grateful.

I guess what I am trying to say is Thank you.  Thank you for reading this blog, even when there are hardly ever updates.  Thank you for being there in 2010 when I needed you the most.  Thank you, Dear Readers for caring about someone that you didn't even really know.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  5 years ago today was the scariest day of my life, but you were there with me. I wish I could give you all a hug, but that would be hard, and weird and expensive.  Well, that's just not practical.  So all I can really say is THANK YOU! Just know this, when you read someones blog and you think about them, well, I believe it's sending good vibes out into the universe to that person.  If you leave a comment, it makes them smile.  For one moment, you've changed that person.

I just thought you should know.

Anyway...

So, what was your biggest defining moment?  Did it change you?

If you want to read about mine, go back to my archive and start with January 2010.

Now, lets go celebrate life!  I'm heading out for an afternoon with Bossman.  Maybe I'll talk to him about spanking.  This blog needs MORE spanking!

Love you all!
