Leftovers

We made it home and all is well.  We have to take the boy to the airport on Sunday and trust me when I say that traffic will probably be a nightmare.  It's normally a 2 and a half hour ride but when we picked him up it took us 4 and a half.  UGH!

He's coming home again in 2 weeks or so, so I wont have much time to miss him.  BUT, he's decided to drive home and it's a 16 hour drive, so that won't be worrisome, AT ALL!

I feel like this holiday season is going to fly by and it's going to be over before we know it.  I plan on enjoying every second I can.

Today I am thankful for the Thanksgiving leftovers.  I personally don't have any, my daughter kept them all.  It's seems weird that I would be thankful for them, but honestly, I am thankful for them because I miss them!  Does that even make sense?  Probably not, but I think I will go to the store and get a turkey and make one this weekend so I can have leftovers.

I'm also grateful that we made it home safe!

Also, I'm grateful for the weekend.

Ok, I think I'm done now!

  2. Happy you had a safe trip home, Grace. When I have big dinners here, I guarantee you that people are sent home with leftovers so I can have some but definitely share the bounty. Ooh...that airport run doesn't sound like any fun. If there traffic is heavy after you drop the boy off, you might want to hold off on any conversation until you get home.

    Hugs and blessings...Cat
