Death and chaos
I wrote this post about a week and a half ago. It’s long and rambling...a lot like my life right now. This year, but mostly this month has been hell. I hope 2020 will get better. I hope!
I had every intention of blogging about TTWD. I promise, I did! But then the last couple of weeks happened and it felt like life sort of fell apart around me.
Bossmans parents have been going downhill very quickly. His mother, she’s been a bit of a nut job since I met her, 30 plus years ago. But the last couple of years she has been slowly having bits of dementia. She hates all docs, so that’s not an option, but we can see it.
His father has had heart problems since 2000. He got a pacemaker in Dec. of 2017. Then, about April, they said one of the leads was off and needed to be fixed. But because his mother hates docs, she didn’t want him to go, and he didn’t. There is more to the story, including conspiracy theories, but I don’t have time to get into all the that. Needless to say, without getting the pacemaker fixed, he started having problems. In June, he had to go on disability. At 72, he should have probably retired but nobody blamed him for not wanting to be home with HER, all day. So, going on disability was super hard for him. But he was having a hard time walking and it was time. In the beginning of August, he ended up in the hospital. We thought he would get his pacemaker fixed, finally, and mother would have nothing to say about it. But sadly, his kidneys were in bad shape because he was taking diuretics for fluid buildup. Because his kidneys were bad, they couldn’t fix the pacemaker because they use dye for that and the kidneys wouldn’t be able to handle the dye. They sent him home. Anytime we talked to him about doctors, my MIL would get so upset. She would freak out. When he was in the hospital, she was a nightmare. She couldn’t stay home alone because she was too scared to be home alone at night, but she was getting lost in the hospital and the nurses told us she couldn’t stay with him. Sadly, he never got much help from docs after that and he slowly got worse and worse. We felt helpless.
Fast forward to last week. Bossman gets a call from his mom saying his dad can’t get off the toilet. Bossman heads over there, it’s a Friday night. His dads legs are jello. He can’t hold him up and ends up lowering him to the ground. He sits back to back with his dad to prop him up and calls for help. The paramedics arrive and his mother is screaming not to take him, he’s getting better, he’ll be fine. She won’t let them in the house. They finally get in and take him to the hospital. Bossman spends 4 hours in the hospital ER with his dad. His mom calls screaming at this dad on the phone that he didn’t come home immediately, he didn’t love her anymore. Bossman tells everyone he can that his dad can’t go home, his mom can’t take care of him. Next day, a social worker calls Bossman and everything. But...they send him home. They SENT HIM HOME!!! Bossman was devastated. Of course that night, she called again to say he couldn’t get off the toilet and it was just a mental thing...a MENTAL thing!!!! Bossman told her to call 911. She said no again...so he hung up on her. This was Saturday. She refused to answer the phone after that. Bossman called during the week and nothing. Then Thursday. I was a the hospital all day with my sister in law...a story for a different day...and when I get home we are eating dinner when the phone rings. The caller ID is his parents, so Bossman picks up the phone and...it’s the paramedics. Sadly, his dad passed away. They were still at the house. Of course, we were very upset. Bossman couldn’t talk to his mom. He just couldn’t. The next day he had to call his mom and now we have been dealing with everything.
I’m adding this on to the post a week and a half later... We’ve had the memorial, it was perfect. My husband was happy with it and felt we honored his father so that is all I can ask for. We are now dealing with his mother, trying to help her get life insurance payment and such. They were terrible with their money and he didn’t leave her a big policy. She is hard to deal with and has the onset of dementia so...this is fun! Bossman sister is trying to get as much money as she can from all of us and we have had to block her from our life and it’s making things even more difficult.
This is where we stand now.
Please send prayers or good thoughts or whatever you believe in!

Seems I’ve been away from blogger too long. I’ve commented on PK’s comment and yet nothing shows. I tried it 3 times. So, if there are 3 comments from me...now you know why! *Edit* I had to go to a different browser to make it work. So if you are having trouble commenting try that. I went to chrome!
The Detail Whore...I’m looking at you, PK...would like to know about the kids and such. I have no kids. They are adults! The youngest is 21 now. Just so you know, I started this blog when he was in kindergarten. Damn, I’m old!
Anyway, the 21 year old MAN has been living with us for about 2 years. We thought we got rid of him when we sent him to boarding school for high school and a year of college in Washington. Turns out, he hated the school in Washington and came home. So he’s been going to community college and he just finished his AS degree. I think that’s what they call it. It’s a two year degree. He’s studying business. Turns out, even though he graduated, one of his classes he took in Washington was not good enough for him to transfer to a 4 year school so he is now finishing that class this semester. He decided to take other classes that are helping him along with his degree or will at least look good on a resume so that’s good. He just got word on Friday and he got accepted to a school in southern CA for the winter semester. So...FINALLY...he is leaving the nest again in January! Let the happy dancing begin! I have loved having him home, he is such a great person. He’s genuinely a nice guy. I know he’s my son, but people tell me that about him all the time. He’s smart, funny and kind. No girl yet, but whoever ends up scooping him up is going to be one lucky gal!
I may have mentioned that my daughter moved to Maryland. That brat LOVES it there, so I doubt she will be moving back to CA anytime soon. I miss her so much!!! We video chat and text all the time! She just went home after being here for a week and I hate it. We have so much fun together! They still are having fertility problems. She has said that if she doesn’t have a child by the time she’s 30 they would look into other options. She’s about to be 29 so...guess we will see. She found out last week that she got a job she had applied for about a month ago....so she is very excited. Bossman and I decided to buy a house in Md and let them be our first renters. They moved in in June and are in LOVE with there neighborhood. We told them if they want to buy the house from us someday, they can.
Well that’s what’s happening with the kids. Tune in next time, when I tell you how Bossman and I are doing and are we, or aren’t we doing TTWD.

Um...Hi
Once again life has gotten in the way of blogging. It’s sad. I miss the old blogging days when I was so involved in the community and I felt like I had a whole world of people as friends. I realize there are a few of you still here...and frankly I wonder why...HA! But I do appreciate it when someone reads my blog. I really do.
As for me and my life...where do I even begin?
The health has been ok. Now that I’m over 50, I have to do all the “old lady” tests. You know the ones, colonoscopy, bone density, that sort of thing. When the doctor told me I needed to get those, I asked him when I would be getting my walker and my life time prescription of Ben-gay. I’m stocking up on my shawls and reading glasses and I’ve reserved my place at the retirement village.
I’ve opted not to do the colonoscopy. I’m doing the test that you can do at home. Without getting graphic...how you would like to be the one to open all the packages with peoples poop in them? I’m not sure that is the job for me.
On Friday, I have to have another bone scan. It’s a pain because you have to go have some dye injected and come back in two hours so we can scan you. I swear, I should have some sort of super powers with all the dye and crap they inject me with.
We had this guy come to our church to speak about health. He started off nicely, telling us how we shouldn’t be eating meat and should have a plant based diet. (GAH!) I get it, it’s healthy and Cheetos are not. BUT, guess what, even the people eating that way are going to die. They may live longer but if they are eating like that, they probably aren’t having much fun! HA! Listen, I don’t want to offend, so if you eat that way, and you enjoy it....good! I’m happy for you! Anyway...like I said, it started off nicely, but THEN...he started talking about how bad xrays were and how when you get cancer they immediately start recommending radiation. And he even went so far as to tell us that getting dental X-rays were bad and we shouldn’t get those either.
Well listen, I’m all for health and junk...haha...but when you start talking to me about how bad the scans are that I have to have ALL THE TIME...well I get a little agitated. As I was getting more and more agitated, Bossman suggested I leave. I did. Apparently after I left, things get better...He started telling everyone that our illnesses is because of our sin. Not because OF sin...no, no, because of OUR sin. Meaning, my personal sin gave me CANCER!!!!
Insert me rolling my eyes!!!! Now listen, I’m not getting religious on you. I’m not even going to tell you what religion I am because that isn’t really the point. The point is....How DARE YOU Sir!!!!
Seriously, I know the dangers of xrays and radiation and all that stuff. If you aren’t living under a rock then you know this information. When I go to church, I would like to be uplifted. I would not like to be lectured about how the tests I’m doing, to prolong my life, are actually going to kill me. Good grief!
So, I went home and wrote a stern letter to the people that invited this man to our church. I told them I wasn’t happy with the things he said. I am sure others were not amused either. What he was saying was NOT helpful at all! We have a lot of people going through cancer and medical things and DENTAL work and we don’t need to worry about how our treatments are killing us.
Everyone agreed and they won’t be asking him to speak again! Hooray me!
I don’t know why I just told that story. That wasn’t what I came to write about. I guess that just needed to be said. I guess this means I will probably be coming back soon to write down some more stuff that is leaking out of my brain.
Until then...

Update on the update
It seems that I am destine to always worry about whether there is cancer lurking in my body.
The blood test results were similar to last time, which is good and bad. Good that nothing is getting worse at the moment, bad because now I have to be checked every 3 months, I have to have more blood tests and I have to have another bone scan. I appreciate being cautious but I hate having these tests and I hate even thinking about it. I would like to go back to a regular life where I never have to go to the doctor again.
Of course, I’m just being a big baby and whining over little things. The bigger picture could be so much worse and there are others dealing with much bigger things. But if I can’t whine here, where can I????
In much better and much funner(is funner a word?) I am leaving in 30 minutes for the airport. I’ll be flying all the way across the country to give my girl a hug. I’ll also be heading to a nascar race on Sunday and I’ll be eating tons of cake on Monday. I might even wear a crown!! I mean, I will be the big 51! Plus, I just really like wearing crowns!
So, I hope you all have a great rest of the week and a great weekend! I’ll be home next Tuesday and I will be sure to have something to whine about.
HUGS!

updates on life
It seems the only time I come here is when I have a medical appointment of some kind. My next is on Tuesday. It’s just a 6 month check up but after last time, I am nervous, as usual. I did manage to get my blood test done without crying like a baby so that was good. I’m trying really hard to not get worried! Everything is going to be fine!!!!
Bossman’s company had a business meeting in Vegas at the beginning of the month. We went a couple of days early to have some fun. I convinced the wildchild to fly out to hang out with me while Bossman was in meetings. We had an awesome time. I just love hanging out with that girl. She drove home with us and hung out with friends and stuff. Although I know she missed her hubby, she had a great time and I did too! Now, next week, we are heading to Maryland to hang out with her. We are going to a nascar race and since it’s my birthday weekend I’m sure we will have fun! I will miss my boy, (who is about to turn 21 in June) but he cannot miss classes. We are anxiously waiting to see if he got into the college he wants, he’s been doing community college. We are suppose to find out before the 30th. I’m holding out hope, as they did email him asking for certain transcripts, but they sure are taking their time letting us know. He only applied for this one school! I’m so proud of him as he has been busting his butt trying to get all his classes done. He is taking 5 classes this time, including calculus and statistics. Plus he’s working so.... here is hoping he getting to go away to college! He’s a great kid but I’m so ready for him to leave the nest!
I hope things are well in your neck of the woods.

30 years and counting
Last week I had the doc appointment. I knew he was going to suggest a hysterectomy and I was right! I’ve finally stopped bleeding and feel like a normal human again. There is no real sign of cancer, so there is no rush to get this surgery. My uterus is large and they feel they will probably have to cut me open to take it out, instead of laperscopicly. So, that will cause more recovery time.
I am going to wait and see what my body is going to do. If I go through another month like last month, I will have the surgery. I just can’t live like that. We shall see...
In other news...
Bossman and I are celebrating 30 years of marriage today.
Seems like only yesterday!
Honestly, we have had an epic life together. We’ve had our share of ups and downs, for sure, but seriously, I can’t believe how far we’ve come. Just looking back on this blog makes me see how far we’ve come. I wrote many a post on how poor we were, how terrible our cars were, how crazy my daughter was, I mean, it’s just crazy! My daughter is a lovely married woman now. Our financial situation is so much better! We don’t have to eat top ramen for dinner anymore. Our cars are, well lets just say, tomorrow, Bossman is picking up his exotic car. Never in a million years did we think that would happen.
Life has blessed us beyond measure. Sure it’s nice to have financial security, but my kids will tell you that they never knew how poor we were back then. We had the time of our lives. We had so much fun together, we still do. Although Bossman has been very successful in his career, and that is a huge accomplishment, raising our kids to be amazing humans is by far our best and most amazing accomplishment.
What is the secret to 30 years, you ask? A whole lot of luck. We were so lucky to stick this thing out together. Others may have given up. For some reason, neither of us gave up. We were lucky to have such great kids. We were lucky when Bossman got this job, 16 years ago. The guy that hired him said that a resume’ like his usually ended up in the trash but for some reason he decided to give him a chance. If that wasn’t luck, I don’t know what is. There is also love. There has always been a whole lot of love in our family. Also Faith. We have our faith in God and our faith in each other. Without those, we wouldn’t have made it.
So here we are, 30 years and counting. It’s been quite a trip and I can’t wait to see where else it takes us!
Happily married,

TMI (or being a girl is hard!)
Life is never easy. Just when you think you can relax and enjoy, something else happens. In my case, it’s medical. I got the results from all my scans and they came back fine. Thank goodness! Then, out of the blue, I start having a cycle. I haven’t had a cycle in a year and a half. When I first got b/c I was placed on a medication to keep it away. At the time (2010), I was told I would be on it for 5 years. At about the 3rd year mark, studies came back saying that women had better success rate if they stayed on it for 10 years. Awesome. Meanwhile, every time I went for a pap they would tell me that my uterus was enlarged. In 2017, my doc referred me to a gyro/oncologist because my hormones were really high, but I wasn’t having a period. The meds I was on can cause uterine cancer. So in 2017 I had a D and C. They didn’t find much but some cysts and a fibroid. No big deal. By then it had been 8 months without a cycle. Then in April of this year, I started bleeding. Had major cramps for 4 days. They did another ultra sound and everything was the same. They said I could wait and see, or have a hysterectomy. I chose wait and see. They also said that if I got off the meds, it might help. So in June, I stopped the meds. I had been on them for 8 years.
Since then, there have been no problems until...
In November I had slight spotting. December, I had spotting for a little longer. January, I had an actual period. February, I have been spotting and bleeding all month. Then last Tuesday I woke up with horrible cramps. I still have those cramps. First part of the month, I just spotted, a week ago Wednesday I started bleeding like a regular period. Last night I started heavy bleeding. Today I’m laying in my bed, trying not to move, changing my tampon and pad every 30 minutes, cramping like a champ. (I warned you this post was TMI)
Don’t worry, I have a doc appointment on Tuesday.
This is going to get better...right? I mean, I really don’t want a hysterectomy. I can barely make it to the doctor without having a panic attack. I swear, I just want to live my life without health problems!
I will say, Bossman has been the real hero in this situation. Honestly, he’s always the hero. He really takes care of me. I am extremely lucky. He brought me flowers and cake yesterday and he’s doing laundry and chores. He’s going to the store to buy me tampons later and that, my friends, is a real heroic man!!!
All I know is being a girl SUCKS!!!!!
Crampily yours,

This week has been nuts. The wild child and her hubby flew in from across the country. The main highway that takes us to the airport was closed due to flooding. We were 50 miles apart and couldn’t get to each other. It was quite maddening. Usually, we have the best weather. It was ridiculous. Eventually we made it through and made it to our house. A 2 hour drive turned into a 10 hour endeavor. Sigh! The good news is we had a great visit with my girl and I’m already counting the days until she comes back again.
I suppose you all are wondering what happened with my test results. Doc said everything was fine. Thank you very much!!!! There was a small spot on my head that he was certain wasn’t cancer but we are having another ct scan. Bossman said it’s just the spot that gives me my sparkling personality. HA! No, he didn’t say that. He said it’s the place that gives me a bad attitude. Whatever!
I’ll go back in 3 months to see what the blood test shows, but my doc doesn’t seem worried at all. So, I won’t worry about it until it’s time. Yeah, right. Of course I’ll worry. But I feel very lucky that the bone scan came out clean. So life is good!!!
I forgot to mention that the night before the wild child came, we had a major storm, hence the reason for the flooding. A 80ft tree blew down in our backyard. Thank heaven it didn’t it our house or the neighbors house. It did, however, wipe out part of our fence. Lucky for us, the tree wasn’t in our backyard and the neighbor is super nice and is taking care of all the repairs.
So, my week was crazy! How was yours?

When you get a bone scan you have to be injected with radioactive stuff. Don’t ask me what it is, I have no clue. After you are injected, you get to leave for 3 hours and then come back for the scan. I’m waiting on that scan now.
Sadly, I don’t seem to have any special powers from this radioactive stuff. I was hoping for some spidey senses or extra strength, maybe a little x-ray vision. Oh well. I find out the result of this test on Tuesday. I’m anxious to get it over with. I just want to know if there is something or not. All this waiting is not good for my anxiety!
In other news, my wild child and her hubby are coming tomorrow! They moved across country before we moved to our new house so I’m very excited to show her our new digs. It’s been weird living in a house my daughter has never lived in. It’s the first time since she was born that this has happened. It’s definitely bittersweet.
You know how I talked about restarting spanking? Well, I have a nice bruise on my bottom. Unfortunately, this bruise is NOT from spanking. We have two steps in our bedroom going from one part of the room to the other. I slipped on those steps and bruised my butt bad. That was definitely not the kind of bruise I was going for! This had led to a halt on the spanking because that bruise was bad!
I guess that’s if for today! Think good thoughts for me and have a great weekend!
Go RAMS!!!!!

The return to spanking
As I said in my earlier post, we stopped spanking. I’m not sure exactly when it happened. We just gradually stopped. We didn’t talk about it, we didn’t plan it, it just happened.
When I realized that we stopped I didn’t realize it had ended for good. I figured there would come a point when we would talk about it and possibly start again. But we didn’t. I stopped coming to my blog, I stopped reading other spanking blogs. I stopped thinking about it. Ok, I didn’t stop thinking about it. I did, however, stop thinking about it, as much.
Eventually I decided I wasn’t going to pursue it any more. It was just too much to think about. Bossman and I were in a weird place in our relationship. I mean, we were still in love, but things were just weird. Bossman wasn’t happy with our sex life and I just didn’t want to be bothered. Our lives were rather busy and it just wasn’t a priority.
We decided that 2019 should be the year we make our marriage a priority. Actually, Bossman decidedl that. I didn’t realize things were bad. I realized that we might not have been as active in the bed, but I didn’t realize it was a problem. Maybe I just had my head stuck in my private shell. I guess you could say I was just taking everything for granted, including Bossman.
The last couple of weeks we have been doing a lot of talking. Bossman brought up spanking, and honestly, I didn’t know what to think. I am actually scared to start it again.
For one thing, spankings hurt. It’s been so long since I’ve had one, I was a little scared about the pain of it. And what about the disappointment? Did I want to get myself excited just to be disappointed all over again?
In the end, I said we could give it a try. Bossman gave me a spanking last week. It wasn’t very hard but it was enough to leave some marks. I feel like we have been closer the last week. We are still talking about if and how we can make this something that will actually work in our relationship without causing so much turmoil as it did last time. I’m still on the fence on how this will work. I guess I don’t want to get my hopes up. I certainly don’t want to end up where we did last time.
We shall see how this all pans out. In the meantime, we are trying to spend more time thinking about each other and less time thinking of ourselves. I bought some relationship books with suggestions on communication and since that seems to be our biggest problem let’s hope we can get some ideas.
Bossman is the one that suggested I start blogging again. So, I guess we will see how long this lasts. HA!
This post seems very disjointed. I don’t feel like I explained things right. I am having a hard time laying out my feelings. I thought about trashing this, but I think I’ll post it and maybe write a follow up when I figure out what I’m really trying to say.
I think you get the general idea...
I hope.

I am blessed
As with most medical things, there is always a snafu. Nothing ever quite goes according to plan. So my bone scan was postponed until February 1st and my doc appointment will be the 5th. I now have a lot more time to worry about it. HA!
Although things aren’t going as fast or as smooth as I would like, I am very blessed to have health insurance. (Even if they are the ones causing me so much stress!)
I know I disappeared for a year. Don’t you hate when bloggers do that? I know I do.
2018 was a crazy year. You would think I could have blogged about it but honestly, I just didn’t have the gumption to write. I couldn’t get motivated. I considered starting a new blog, I’m still contemplating that but honestly I just lost my mojo. There was no spanking and without that, well this blog depressed me. I didn’t want to read or write about anything having to do with spanking. This blog was a painful reminder of things I couldn’t have anymore.
Like I said, 2018 was a crazy year. We sold our house, bought our dream house, Bossman became a partner in his firm, the wild child and hubby moved across the country and...I turned 50.
Yes, I am indeed blessed.
I am blessed with an amazing family, a successful loving husband, and life.
Anyone reading this is blessed with life.
Thank you to the people that read my last post and are reading this one. I honestly didn’t expect there to be readers much less comments. I am blessed to have had you all take a moment out of your day to read my words and send me good thoughts!
Also, you know all that stuff I said about not being spanked? Just when I thought all hope was lost, Bossman and I have decided to give it another try. 2 nights ago, we gave it a really good try and tonight has been promised another.
But that is a story for another day!
Yep, I am blessed!

I’m not brave
I’m not brave.
My sister asked me to give a speech for Relay for Life. Just a 5 minute speech on how it was to have breast cancer.
I turned her down.
I’m not much for public speaking. I get tongue tied and nervous. It’s just not my thing. When I told her those things, she said, “but you were so brave going through cancer.”
No, no I wasn’t.
As a matter of fact, I was a big baby. I cried a lot. I felt sorry for myself. I had panic attacks. I curled up in a ball and prayed. I retreated into my shell and didn’t even want to leave the house.
Of course, I didn’t show this side of me to the public.
See the thing is, when you are diagnosed with something, you do what you have to do. The doctors tell you what the treatment is, you research it, you listen to what they have to say and then once you decide what you are going to do, you do it.
There is nothing brave about it. Nothing at all. You just do what you have to do. You move through it. You deal with it any way you can. You cry, you curl up in a ball, you smile, you pretend everything is fine. You just do.
It’s been 9 years exactly since my diagnosis. Jan 15, 2010.
Since that day, I’ve gone to the dr every 6 months to check my blood and make sure everything is good. November, I went to the routine exam and was told my blood test came back a little high in alkaline. It’s called the ALP. Mine was slightly elevated. I mean, 3 points off. Not really that big of a deal, but still something to look at. The doc says, it’s caused from either your liver or bones. So, we wait 6 weeks and retake the test. Which meant I went through the holidays with this in the back of my mind. I retook the test, along with a different test in the beginning of January. Test shows it’s not coming from my liver. Liver is fine, but the cancer marker is slightly elevated for bones. Again, slightly.
So now he recommends a ct scan and a bone scan. I got the ct scan done and my insurance is taking forever to approve the bone scan but that is next.
I go back on Monday to find out the results.
Monday.
Like I said, I’m not brave. I cried at the ct scan. I’ll probably cry at the bone scan. Neither of these are painful, you just lay there, but still. I’ll cry.
Inside I’m panicking. I’m scared. I’m trying not to imagine my family without me.
It’s probably nothing. I’m sure it’s fine.
Seriously...I’m not brave. Not even a tiny bit.
I blew it, but I do love my lurkers!
I’ve participated in LOL since it started. And then I missed it. I asked PK when it was and then I completely forgot about it.
I’m a horrible blogger! As a matter of fact, I have no idea why you are even here reading this.
But I am incredibly grateful.
Can you believe I’ve been blogging since 2004. That’s a long, long time. If there are any that have been reading since then....well aren’t you a trooper?
Thank you so much for coming by and reading my blog. I am humbled by the comments I get and the fact that people still come by to find out what I’m up too.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be spending it with my family and I am eternally grateful that I am able to celebrate with them. They are my heart.
Thankfully yours,
grace
P.S. I am also grateful Bossman pulled me over his knee and swatted my butt the other day and made a comment that we should do that more often. Hehehehe!

Still alive
Hi Folks! Bet you forgot all about me. That’s ok. I’ve been horrible at blogging.
When I last left you I was trying to walk. That was so ridiculous. I expected to be up and about in one day, instead I was down for a week unable to do anything but sit on the couch or lay down. Now, I know this sounds like it would be fun and it turns out, it wasn’t! It was boring and frustrating and I didn’t even binge watch Orange is the new black. I tell you, I am way behind!
But now a month later I am past all that and I wish wish wish I had a week to just lay around and watch tv. HA!
Just when I was getting better and able walk again, the boy had a problem. He told me his tailbone was hurting. No injury, no nothing. The only thing that changed was he got a job and was on his feet all day. So, we thought he just wasn’t used to it. Sunday morning (Oct 7) he could hardly walk. So we headed to the ER. After sitting at the hospital all day, AND watching a prisoner be evaluated AND seeing my 19 year old son’s butt crack WAY too many times, we found out he had a polynomial cyst. So, they had to drain it. And then I had to do something I never thought I’d have to do for my son. I had to buy him feminine hygiene pads. Yes, that’s right, I said feminine hygiene pads. FOR MY SON! HA! Turns out, those things are great because they can stick to the back of your pants and pad the area that got drained. You know what else is great? Calling your son and asking him what his flow is. I mean, is it a heavy flow? Light? Did he need wings? Oh did I have fun with that one!!! It’s surprising how much he didn’t appreciate my humor. I mean, come on, it was FUNNY! After the hilarity of that, I had to buy him a donut pillow. I never had so much fun at a pharmacy!
Honestly, it was painful and he had to miss a week of work so that wasn’t funny at all. But he survived and everyone is fairly healthy at the moment (everyone knock on wood).
The wildchild child is turning 27 on Wed. What the heck? She and her hubby are still trying for a baby, it’s heartbreaking to watch her go through that. It’s just not fair that some people can just blink and get pregnant and other people no matter how hard they try, just can’t do it. She’s doing her best to live her life and not get to sad about it, but I know she’s devastated that it hasn’t happened yet.
So, that’s what is happening here. My biggest stress right now is what to wear to a dinner for my husbands work. Don’t know if I mentioned it, but he’s a partner in his company now and I have to look like a partners wife. What doesn’t that even mean? I guess it means I have to look put together. HA! I usually like picking things that look good on a mannequin. What does one wear to a dinner at another partners house? A dress? A nice pair of pants and cute blouse? I don’t know. So if you need me I’ll be perusing all the websites for cute clothes. (Did I mention I hate shopping too?)
What’s going on with you? Are you ready for the holidays? If you are, I hate you!

Post op
I had my procedure yesterday and all went well...well sort of.
There were NO surprises to be found in my uterus. YAY! Doc didn’t see anything concerning. Although waiting for the biopsy report is a little concerning, the doc wasn’t concerned al all.
Really good news.
BUT...apparently, while I was under, they put my legs up in the stirrups. Apparently, I’m not very flexible. I’m not sure what the hell they did to me but my legs are HURTING! The first thing I said when I woke up is my legs hurt.
They said I could go home after I pee. HA! I had to have Bossman and the nurse help me to the bathroom and it was so painful. It’s my hips. It’s like I did 5000 squats. They said if it was that bad that I might have to stay at the hospital. UM NO! So I got up and walked like an 80 year old woman and made it to the bathroom. Then I came home!
Today is not much better. I can’t walk. I sort of shuffle. I can’t bend down to sit on the toilet, so I sort of fall backwards onto the seat. I can’t even put my pants on. GAH!
What about my uterus, I hear you asking. It’s fine! Not a cramp, no bleeding, nothing! It’s like he didn’t do anything in there at all. Honestly, I feel like they put me on a stretching machine.
So, Here I am. I can’t move. I can’t do anything at all. It’s ridiculous!
Great Monday! How was yours?
Painfully yours,
grace

Monday
You know what I hate? Well, I hate a lot of things, but Mondays are top of the list. It could be the fact that I have to have that D&C on Monday.
You know what else I hate? I hate having my blood drawn.
Here’s the thing. I’ve had my blood drawn a bizillon times. I know the drill. I do not have easy to find veins. BUT, I know exactly where they go each time. SO, when I come in to get my blood drawn and you don’t listen to me. Well, I tend to get upset. I tend to panic. I tend to FREAK the heck out!
Unfortunately, this very thing happened at the pre-op appointment. I told him exactly where to get my blood from. He ignored me. He put the stupid rubber band thingie on my arm, told me to make a fist. Then unfist, then fist...you know the drill. When he couldn’t find the vein he started slapping the area, like that was going to wake up my veins. When that didn’t work, he started looking at my hand. It was about that time that I started to panic. He then put the rubber band thingie (yes, that is the official name) on my wrist. THEN, he starts slapping my hand around, like THAT was going to wake up the veins.
I’m about to freak out and then, THEN, he tells me to go to the bathroom and run my hand under cold water.
UM...NOPE! By this time, I’m at the end of my rope. I turn my arm over and point to the spot that they always get blood from and ask again if he could just do it there. He gives me a exasperated look and looks at my arm again. Feels it and then says....and I KID YOU NOT...he say, oh, I think you are right! Then proceeds to take my blood. GAH!!!!!!
So here's hoping Monday goes much smoother than yesterday!
Tell me fun stories, I need to get my mind off this!
Medically yours,
grace

Wait...what?
So the last time I posted was in July? Good Lord! Where the hell have I been?
I'll tell you what, life has thrown some serious curve balls in the last couple of months.
Let's start with the College boy. I'm going to call him CB cuz, I'm lazy and I have a lot to tell you.
Anyways...CB has decided NOT to go back to college. *gasp*
Ok, so he's in college but, but, but....he's moved back home. He didn't leave!!!!! As most of you probably know, he went to a boarding school in high school and that means he's been living in a boys dorm for 5 years. He had enough of dorms. So says him. BUT, the real reason he stayed home is because he wants to move to Indiana. Yes, I said Indiana. Coincidentally, his internet/Skype girlfriend happens to live there. So he's going to community college here and working and when he gets enough money he wants to move. He's going to take the rest of his classes online while living in Indy and get all his generals out of the way. THEN once he's lived in Indy for a year, he can claim residency in Indy. THEN, he want to finish his schooling at a College of business that is in Indy.
I commend you if you followed all that. Trust me when I say....This is not what we had planned for him. BUT, we realized that our dreams for our son are not the same dreams he has for himself. So, for now we having him home and although I love him dearly....DEAR GOD...He is a pig! So there is that. Plus, TMI headed your way. Bossman and I have had to learn how to have sex quietly. OMG! It's so hard to have a quiet orgasim. I'm just saying...
My life is turned upside down. Did I tell you about Yosemite? We went in July, Bossman and I. We
took our RV and it was great....until the fire. Yep, huge CA fire closed roads and smoked out all the major sights. We could barely see the beautiful half dome. So that happened.
Did ya'll see the eclipse? I saw it sort of, but my son-in-law got in a car accident, so that happened. Someone tried to turn left in front of him and he couldn't avoid her. Luckily, he was fine. Well, sort of. The car was totaled. It was 4 months old. He came home and thought he was fine but the next day he wasn't fine at all. He had a huge bruise across his entire stomache from his seatbelt. His shirt was ripped. He went to the hospital and they had to give iv meds and he was on antibiotics for a week. He got a skin infection. So that happened. They got a new car, so it all worked out but it was pretty scary.
Around that same time I had gone to my doctor for a routine blood test. I'm going to talk about girl stuff now, so prepare yourself...
I told my doc that I stopped my period in January. So they wanted to get a blood test to see where my hormones were at. Apparently a normal woman in menopause has a estrogen level of 5 to 50. Mine was 759. Nobody said I was normal! Of course my doc told me to see my cancer doc. I only see him once a year and low and behold, I had an appointment with him for the next week. But before that I had to have another blood test and a pelvic ultrasound, and yes, it's as fun as it sounds! A woman shoving a wand up my hootch. So much fun! I spent the day after the test sitting at home under my blanket thinking the worst. But they called and said they didn't find anything remarkable, to which I replied...WHAT? My uterus is extremely remarkable!
But then I went to my cancer doc and talked to him. He didn't seem too concerned, but said my uterus lining is thick, like the rest of me... and I needed to see a gynecological oncologist to get another opinion. Ok fine. It seems that the meds I take for BC can cause uterine cancer. So better safe than sorry.
So last week I went to the new doc. He wanted to do a biopsy on my lining right there in the office. He said it didn't hurt and only took a few seconds. I thought I was going in for a consult and this guy wants to look in my hootch. Not in my plans but...ok, lets do it. Now folks, I have a bit of PTSD when it comes to doctors. So I tend to get a bit panicky. But I sucked it up and pulled down my pants. He got up in there and wait...what? He can't do it because I have a cyst blocking my uterus. So now I have to go in for a d and c. Apparently they want to just scrape out my uterus and take care of the cysts. Luckily this is done under general anesthesia. I just can't wait for that to happen. Suppose to happen in a couple of weeks. Should be just like a party!
I think I've caught you up on all the fun happening here in graceland.
Please tell me what you all have been up too! I need a good spanking. (story)

Summer!!!
Where or where did I leave off in this fabulous story of grace?
I am too lazy to go back and read what I wrote so I'm just going to tell you what has happened this past month.
We went to the races. Oh, I think I told you that already.
When we got home from the races I was looking forward to a couple of weekend to you know...clean my house...but no. Bossman comes to me on a Thursday and asks if I want to go to Vegas. In 2 days!
What?! Of course I want to go, but we just got home 4 days ago and why do we have to go now?
Apparently, a guitarist from the band Stryper (which is an 80's heavy metal christian rock band) was playing on Fremont street. Alrighty then...
So Stryper was Bossmans favorite band in all the world. His mother was very strict christian (unlike now which she is mus*lim) (and if you are new here...well that is quite a story and NO I'm not kidding) and wouldn't allow Bossman to play any music on his guitar unless it was christian. So he found a heavy metal christian band and he watched this guitarist play and Bossman plays a mean guitar and this guy was a HUGE influence on his guitar playing! WHEW!!!! That was a lot to say.
Well, guess who went to Vegas and guess who met his guitar hero! Bossman was super excited. He met him and he talked to him and he even took pics with him. Oh, I had fun too!
After we got home we had about a week or so and then Bossman had to fly to Washington so he could drive home with the college boy. While he was gone the wildchild and her hubby came to town and hung out with me.
College boy and Bossman made it home safely 2 days later. YAY! College boy will be home until the end of September. I'm hoping to have a fun summer of camping with him.
This week my son-in-law had to go out of town. My daughter had jury duty, so rather than have her stay home alone, I came over to her house. I'm here now. I'm just watching tv, playing on my ipad and generally having a fine time. Unfortunately, my girl got picked for the actual jury and so instead of having a girls week, I'm hanging out by myself.
Oh well, at least she doesn't have to stay home by herself.
As for spanking....ha! What is that? It always seems that when the boy comes home, that's when Bossman and I get more frisky. So stupid! I haven't given up hope...I'm still hoping. I'm always hoping!!!
So that's what's going on in my neck of the woods! What have you guys been up to lately? Any fun summer plans?
Relaxingly yours,
grace

Merry Christmas
Last Christmas I didn't know what to get Bossman. The man has everything he could want and more!
The wildchild thought of a great gift! Tickets to a Ferrari race weekend. The track has camping spaces, so I paid for all the tickets for the three day event and reserved a camping spot and bought a hat to give him on Christmas morning with the reservations.
Guess where we are now?
So Merry Christmas to Bossman!
I am sitting in the camper watching the races! Ha!
These are really good races! I'll let you know who wins!
Speedily yours,
grace
