Getting ready

So, I went back and looked at my to-do list. Seems I have slacked a little and now that the trip is less than a week away, I'm having a small panic attack!

Let's just see what I've accomplished.

1. color hair (check)

2. lose 20lbs (UH, like that was EVER going to happen!)

3. get face lift, tummy tuck, liposuction (again, what was I thinking?)

4. get hair styled (I did manage to get my hair done, but I don't like it, they cut it way to short! So now I'm just mad)

5. grow fingernails (I am so nervous that any fingernails that grew, have been chewed off again)

6. buy new wardrobe (that was only happening if I won the lotto, since that didn't happen, everyone is just going to have to love my old clothes!)

7. learn southernese (I was NEVER good at foreign languages! I'm just going to have to use Eva as a translator, she seems to have gotten the hang of it.)

8. hide all the back scratchers (I try this all the time, but somehow Bossman ALWAYS finds it again!)

9. dust off the bong (dusted and tested, just to make sure it still works.)

10. brush up on surfer lingo (not that hard Dude! I can totally talk surfer dude)

11. find hotel reservation (mine got deleted...stupid computer)(found! YAY)

12. find out if the Governator is free for dinner (Unfortunately, he's busy.)

13. ask Mother Nature for good weather (I've asked, I can only hope she keeps her word on this)

14. jump up and down and spin in circles until I am dizzy (I've been doing this everyday since I found it this was really happening!)

Well, I've given it a good shot. Now all I need to do is pack! (and do laundry, and make sure the kids have food, and remember my camera and computer and....ack..........it's too much!!!!!!

If you would like to be helpful I could use some advice. Can you think of anything else I should be doing for this trip? I've read up on the safety of meeting someone from the internet. I've told numerous people where I'll be and for how long. One of my good friends is ready to call me with a made up emergency, just in case this thing gets boring. We are meeting in a public place. Oh, and I'm bringing Bossman! He will protect me. Just in case they decide to kidnap me.

Anything else I'm forgetting? This trip is only a few days away! YIPPEEEEE!!!!!

  3. Do you REALLY think there's a possibility of boredom? You haven't heard enough of PK's stories then. I swear that girl is the most entertaining thing since the TV was invented!!!

    It's gonna be a blast...

    Hugs~

  4. Many years ago (yikes! I think...12?) I flew out to meet with some women I'd only grown to know online via a message board about some actor we were all obsessed with. The four of us had somewhat the same sense of humor and had become friends through our snarkiness, even to the point of phoning each other occasionally. We lived all over the country and the one living in Arizona offered to host us three at her house, sending her husband and two teens off to some camping trip for the weekend so we could have the house to ourselves.

We had a really good time! But, funnily enough, the one I had been closest to online was the one I didn't like so much in person and the one I had been least closest to online seemed the most like me when we met. The fourth one was just a nut to us all but we all loved her for it! She was very entertaining! ahahaha :)

Anyway, it was interesting and fun, it's not like you're going to meet some strange guy for sex so don't worry about the safety thing. Sounds like you're staying in a hotel too, which is even safer than what I did by just blithely saying I'd stay at her house. Which as I look back in retrospect was maybe a bit dangerous to do but at the time, the net was so new and all you hadn't heard all these horror stories yet.

You'll be fine. :) Have fun and come back with stories!

  5. So Eva? Do you think she's gonna try and kidnap me and spank me to death? You know her and Nick better than I!

Amber...I know we will have fun! You were mighty brave to stay at someone's house! I'm being a little snarky about the advice stuff. I just want to give these girls a hard time before I meet them. I want them to know EXACTLY who they are meeting...LOL

Paul, I'm heading to google RIGHT now! HUGS!

  6. Grace! Amber says we are not all going to have sex together?? What's the deal? If we are not all having sex, and your hair is too short and you don't have new clothes what is the point?? And now no Governator. Geeze!

I had some fear of what Amber said before I met Eva for the first time. Would we like each other as much in real life? Would we drift apart once our curiosity was satisfied. Didn't happen we are closer than ever. I fully expect the as me with you and C.C.

What do you still need to do? Shave your legs. Not that I really care but if I have to shave mine you do too. Get cash for the toy store - do you want that on your credit card?? I too have my hair colored - but not styled, sigh... it pretty much what I wake up with.

This is it, this is it!! Hang on!

  7. Grace dear you sound all ready to me! I think you could show up bald and they would love you just as much. If you and PK cannot understand each other's language just email one another. That seems to work.

    Love you,
    Cassie

  8. Not to worry everyone .... I've been around PK enough that I speak her language adequately and much to my delighted surprise, these Californians sound ALMOST like they came from my part of the planet so it's all good. I will translate.

48 hours ladies... ready or not, the weekend's coming!!!!

Just we all love you as you are and to relax and enjoy! Oh yes, and a few more jumps and circles!!! :-) Have a fantastic time! Wish I could join you all!
